Megan Fox Cast in the 'TMNT' Film

Whoever the girl on the right is, she's super f**king bad. To everyone that can't understand y FOX is be cast, think about it. She's attractive and she has screen presence. Yeah she's not the best actress but she puts people the audience. It's all about the Benjamin's Baby. Chill out fellow fanboys! It will be all good!

Okay, hopefully she will do better as April than as her character in TF.

It's trendy to hate on Fox these days. She's got a supporting role in a film that's not exactly going to require Oscar caliber acting ability, and fools are running around like it's the end of the world. Megan Fox isn't a good actress, but she doesn't have to be a good actress for this role, so the hysteria gang should probably just chill out.

Just because it's stupid or silly doesn't mean it can't be good. Roger Rabbit has a talking animated rabbit and that movie is a classic. You are expecting dumb action and dumb comedy when the potential is to do even something serious with a silly premise. You could do good comedy and satire with mutated turtles that eat pizza.

But this movie, it fails before anything is even shot on film/digital because of the people behind it. Namely Bay and now Fox is added to a list that will probably get even bigger the more they cast etc.

If we can get something like The Dark Knight out of man dressing up like a Bat with pointy ears we can get a good Turtles movie. But we'll most likely get something like Batman & Robin right out of the starting gate.

TMNT isn't delayed anymore, I guess.

For some reason i picture her being Karai. Not that that would be any better (lol it would probably be worse) but i dont see her being April

I would have assumed Fox had burnt all her bridges with Michael Bay. Well, this is pretty terrible news. I think Megan Fox was fine in the Transformers movies in as much as she was simply there to look hot in a vacant/lifeless sort of way, but if their plan is to have her be April, a real character with emotions and personality, that simply will not work.

It's possible she could be Karai...that would be slightly better casting.

@bloggerboy: No it's not. It's not at all. This thread is ridiculous. Fanboys are absolutely losing their minds over something as trivial as Megan Fox being cast in a movie; it's stupid. Fox's role won't make or break the film, because it's not an important enough role to make or break the movie. The only reason people are having a fit is because that's what people do whenever Megan Fox's name is mentioned. "Megan Fox! OMG it's RUINT!!" It's stupid, and the people who do it are stupid.

For the record, I don't think she's a good actress, but she's acceptable eye candy. That's all that's required for the role. And I don't think it's going to make a lick of difference, this movie is going to suck, and suck bad. But now the fanboys have another reason, after Michael Bay, to hate on the film, and that's Megan Fox. IMO, the film would suck with Scorcese directing and Jennifer Lawrence cast as April O'Neil--it's a silly, silly movie with a silly concept, silly characters and a silly story. But that's just my opinion; I understand others may love it. Megan Fox is not going to take a good movie and make it bad or a bad movie and make it good; people need to stop acting all freaked out because that's the way they are expected to act as fanboys.

I'm out of holding onto hope for this damn awful mess. Transformers has been ruined by Bay's influence and now something I care more about will feel his wrath as a result of Bay's fixation on putting Megan Fox in the role of April O'Neil. Seriously does Bay want his TMNT to crash and burn?

You know I don’t feel angry or hate. I feel apathetic. We all kind of saw this one coming that we should make bingo card to see what is going to be expected.

You know the one of creators of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles consider the 80s cartoon shameful. I need to blog about that as soon as I can able to write what I mean correctly. He knows who he is working with, right? There is being risky and then there expected an ominous lesson in this afterward. Somehow we are going to take note at when it happen either it is good or bad. Most of us are likely to expect it to be bad but our morbid curiosity will get us to see how badly it is.

So who who is suck... vict....voulenter to watch it.

Poor Megan Fox. Transformers was actually decent, bit I just know the TMNT film will be Transformer 2 quality.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit is a silly movie and that's a classic. Who says April can't have classic lines like Jessica Rabbit for example. Or given Turtles has a lot of action in it, have April deliver something badass and memorable like "Get away from her you b*tch!"

I agree that a Turtles movie has a very low chance of being like Roger Rabbit or Aliens (wow, what a contrast!) but making decisions like casting Fox is only going to kill the movie without even giving it any kinds of chances.

Seriously, I grew up on TMNT myself and see nothing wrong with this. For one people are making assumptions(which is always a great idea...let me tell you because she's cast she's automatically April and no possibility for anyone else lol)

Secondly, if she winds up being Karai or someone else even a new, side character I will literally laugh at those hating this idea in upcoming months.

Thirdly, it's Megan Fox an actual actress who's been in quite a few decent if not good movies, not Lindsay Lohan or Eminem lol seriously, some people need to calm down.

I'm more concerned with the final script then who they cast seriously, this is trivial. I think some fans are just pet peeving or hating on Fox or Bay for the sake of doing so at this point. Dumb...

He really needs to make a Barbie movie. This way he can ruin the childhood of women as well.

I am quite calm. And no, Fox alone won't kill the movie. There's Bay and some pointless changes to the story like Teenage Alien Ninja Turtles. And every single of these tiny drops of suckitude will make an ocean, I'm pretty sure of that.

What I find funny is in the cartoon it seemed Michaelangelo liked her, the movie Raphael and in the new show Donny lol. I don't know if Leo ever had the hots for April though.
