..but I dropped Savage Wolverine during the last arc, for me that book has dived a bit at the moment as well!! Too bad that two of my three favourite marvel guys, Wolverine and Hulk are being so badly written at the moment!!

Gotta love the maturity levels here,telling a fictional character to suck it and f*ck it(the Batman hate is really strong on this site),or saying another character got votes cause of her breasts.

Honestly the only character on here I'm a complete non fan of is Superman. I would have been happy with Spidey or Batman winning, as they're both two of my favorites. Honestly surprised how little love Wolverine got, but to be honest in terms of popularity I feel that he was simply against four of comics biggest icons and it was probably inevitable.

Yeah, he's been written fairly horribly in most of the X books after Marvel NOW started. Most have just characterized him as an angry short guy to put it bluntly, and Cornell;s main Wolverine title has been horrible. The one book with James that I would say is good is Savage Wolverine, and that's mostly due to the fact that since it most contains 2-3 issue story arcs, writers can just do their thing. I'm hoping Marvel puts focus on writing better after the end of Cornell's run this September with that Death of Wolverine event.

How come I didn't even see there was a poll about this... I would have voted for Wonder Woman cause she deserves some recognition and respect but as the very first character of the month, Spidey seems appropriate. I hope that will time, characters from creator-owned/indie comics will also be featured. But we'd better get the big ones out of the way first.

@wolverine08: I can't stomach reading Wolverine now. Coming across him in other books makes me wince, it's painful, you know? If I could ignore everything that's happening, I would be very, very happy. This isn't Wolverine.

This is me. I would have voted for Wolverine but couldn't in good conscience do it with the way he's being portrayed right now.

Also, Wonder Woman is out there getting things done. She has no time for popularity contests. The character just IS.

What makes this whole thing funnier is that...I figured that Superman would be last. Like, deadlast. But...to my happiness (and to @wolverine08's chagrin), Superman wasn't last. Wolverine was. I figured Wolvie would at least get third with Batman/Spiderman taking up 1st or 2nd in whichever order with Diana taking up 4th just so Supes would get last.

But, oh happy day, Superman isn't last! xDD

Wolverine's fans voted for Pete, plain and simple. Glad to see the old Web-Head get it, best character of the bunch.

@punyparker: Yeah I can agree to that. His work sometimes fits when its a less serious and lighthearted story, but when the sh*ts about to hit the fan he's not the guy I want drawing Spidey.

I voted Batman, but Spidey earned it just as much. I would have been happy if anyone won, except Wolverine. I love Wolverine, but haven't dug any of his stuff in the past years.

Yep good point, DC fans tend to think the DC trinity have more fans than anyone else due to the number of years they have been around, but Spiderman has an awful lot of fans, they just don't go on about it all the time! Personally, as someone who liked all the characters who were on offer, it was win, win, win!

Spidey is top dog. Where he belongs.

Both Romitas are my favorite Spider-Man artists. JMS one of my favorite Peter writers.

I am really not a fan of Ramos' Spider-Man artwork.

I have ideas, but nothing is set in stone yet. Happy to hear ideas.

Great to see Peter win; he is the best of the bunch here.

Any ideas for next month's choices?
