MARVEL UNIVERSE: GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Series Announced

Prepare for some Guardians of the Galaxy stories that can be enjoyed by readers of any age!

Guardians of the Galaxy was a huge success at the box office and it sent Marvel a pretty clear message: people love the team. While the publisher is already releasing a series by Brian Michael Bendis, there isn't anything that's really easy for a casual, younger fan to pick up and enjoy. Well, it looks like Marvel wants to change that.

Joe Caramagna is bringing the cosmic team into the all-ages Marvel universe with MARVEL UNIVERSE: GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY. During an interview with Marvel, the writer said he's passionate about writing comics for all-ages because, “If I want them to be around for my kids and my grandkids, we have to find that next generation of fans to keep the lights on for us when we're done." Caramagna also stressed how important it is to keep kids reading because, "if they can read well, they can learn anything. That’s why, in my opinion, encouraging our kids to read is the most important thing we can do as parents to prepare them for their future.”

While he couldn't comment on the story, he did say he'll make sure the comic is "fun and accessible" and he'll try to include comedy and "great character moments."

Comic Viners, are you going to give this a read or recommend it to any younger people in your family? MARVEL UNIVERSE: GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY will go on sale in 2015.
