Marvel Teases 'Minimum Carnage'

Amazing Spider-Man and Ultimate X-Men have been $3.99 for a while but only just recently started giving the code for digital copies. And I'd rather not be FORCED to buy a digital copy. A few DC titles do OFFER the digital copy, but come in two versions; regular $2.99 and Digital Copy Inclusive $3.99. I think I much prefer the OPTION as opposed to being forced to purchase a digital copy if I want the issue at all.

And frankly, I prefer having actual additional content over the same thing I already bought but digital.

I mean, I don't know what co-features YOU'VE been reading, but all the DC co-features are TEN pages. Action Comics' co-feature is hit or miss but All-Star Western has solid ones. And Batman's co-feature is actually written by the main writer, it's vital additional story! And then they've got Batman Beyond Unlimited which is a FOURTY page (of story) series for $3.99.

But for over a year of Marvel, there were series' that gave NEITHER and still had the gall to charge $3.99.

@The Mighty Monarch: Oh I agree with you that prior to last month or whatever the 3.99 for nothing extra was ridiculous. And isn't DC FORCING you to buy a comic with the extra story for 3.99 the same way Marvel is for the Digital copy? Most of the comics I buy from both DC and Marvel are 2.99 with no extras. Either Way I buy Batman for 3.99 and get the extra 10 page stroy that Im not too crazy about and I buy 3 Marvel 3.99 books that I can trade to someone else for their digital codes and get to read 3 titles I don't pull online for an extra 3 bucks. Its preference but I like getting the digital code for this reason.

I guess, but... I don't feel like it's completely the same. All-Star Western isn't 'Jonah Hex,' it's All-Star Western, so it's sort of an anthology or something. Wait, you read Batman but don't like the Co-Feature? That's weird because Batman's co-feature does it the right way. It's literally part of the main story, extra story that is actually important, AND by the same writer. It's like.... It's like for every two issues of Batman, we get the equivalent of a third issue for $1.99. ESPECIALLY with Batman I take the co-feature as a part of the whole experience they're selling me. Batman, All-Star Western, and to an extent G.I.Combat, and to a SIGNIFICANTLY lesser extent Detective Comics and Action Comics; it's just a longer issue that they're giving me and not just giving me two copies in different formats. And it's like, I can buy the digital copy by itself but I can't buy the paper copy by itself? I see your point, I'd just rather be forced to buy extra stuff than the same thing. But It's still annoying in Action Comics and Detective Comics. Batman and All-Star Western.... it's tales by the same writers, so I have the same expectations, I'm 100% okay with paying $3.99 for them.

And Marvel was doing it wrong for quite a while, so I'm still full of hate for them giving me nothing for the extra dollar for so long.

The name "Minimum Carnage" doesn't exactly strike a sense of "AHH!" in me.

In fact, the visual that comes to mind is "Okay guys, I'm Carnage and I'm back! But I don't wanna do anything crazy yet so I'mma start off with small stuff first, m'kay?".

It's a joking play on Maximum Carnage.

The earlier teaser shows Carnage riding a syringe like he's the cowboy riding a nuke from that movie who's name I can't remember.

So, basically, experiments on the symbiote probably go horribly wrong.

Really Marvel, it's exhausting. Even if you'd give something absolutely amazing I'd be sparing no f**ks because of the poor work with promotion mainly.

carnage invades the microverse

The Only way I'd allow this is if the story is about Carnage trying to breed a twisted reflection of himself to be his brother in slaughtering. The said brother is instead strongly against killing and precedes to run away from Carnage before realizing the damage all symbiotes cause and going on a quest to kill and absorb all of them resulting in a universe cleansing of all the 90's symiote-character abortions. This will make the few remaining symbiotes (Venom and Carnage-bro) seem more powerful and relevant. This will also give a future story plot to exploit in the form a Symbiote Escape story with the return of (Carnage and company).

no chance in it being another kid. Scorn was his latest and she just showed up last year, and they've barely done anything with toxin. From the preview i saw with the syringe and miniature carnage im guessing the symbiote is goin microscopic.

Makes me wonder if this could be a video game. Maybe they are making a port of the classic "Maximum Carnage" for cell phones and portable game systems. Since it would be smaller, they decide it is cute to change the name to reflect the new portable size.

Carnage takes a break from terrorizing people, decides to join a book club, and picks up carpentry and bird watching as hobbies.

I'm going with it being another Maximum Carnage arch but with less symbiotes.

Not much of a tease if you ask me.

Hmm, Venom did have multiple "children". So the idea of Carnage having a few more besides Toxin and the last female one isn't far off.

Minimum Carnage is just an unfortunate title.

Venom and Scarlet Spider crossover has the potential to be frickin great. Two darker spin-off Spider-Man characters fighting one of the darkest spider-man foes. If Wells and Crain are back on then i'll definately forgive the unfortunate name.

besides Toxin well he must have had it years ago before being ripped in half by sentry also Minimum carnage sounds lame why couldn't they do extensive carnage or uber carnage or maybe extreme carnage (since he was introduced in the early 90s )

Man.. the title sounds pretty bad...but it's a fun throwback to the original event :P

Sounds like they are throwing in - similar to the current VENOM series.

Carnage will get a new host but be reigned-in - trying to minimize the overall Carnage he creates.
