No, Hickman is taking over the regular Avengers book, that was confirmed already Tony Guerrero. So obviously she taking over Avengers Assemble.

I dont know why they cant bump Ms Marvel (i know shes cap marvel for now but ppl know her better as Ms) onto the main team of Avengers.

If this is for Avengers Assemble, it still takes place in the cinematic universe (sure, it's 'canon' for whatever universe that is) and isn't 616. That's the only explanation why Cap and Iron Man are in their proper costumes and Hulk is on the Avengers. The teaser is just telling us that Marvel is introducing Spider-Woman into that universe.

Good for her! Still not buying this though. Hope it does well under her tenure though.

I've checked it out online along with various other reviews. The answer to your question is a resounding no. Do not waste your money on it in single issues or TPB. It is most definitely not worth it.

What's up with the costume inconsistency? None of them have their proper costumes from the other MARVEL NOW! images we've seen.

Well, we haven't seen one with Spider-woman, so aside from her.

I didn't notice Caselli was the artist. I loved his Ends of the Earth work. He could do an awesome job on the Avengers too.

This is for Avengers Assemble. Marvel is hinting that if they can't get SM for the Avengers' sequel, then they'll just use Spider-Woman instead.

@Baddamdog: The Marvel NOW!-page is helpful, but a feature is more what I had in mind. Which I guess will come some weeks before the first issues show up.

If I'm understanding this right, Assemble will be catered to specific threats as they arise and the main four teams can't get to.

Love the art, Interesting stuff though.

I haven't picked up Avengers because of Bendis. I'll probably glance it now, but I'm already packed full with DC and Indestructible Hulk and Red She-Hulk so I might not buy it.

After seeing them in Avengers vs X-men, i do not care.

@Necrotic_Lycanthrope: Oh thank goodness. Yeah Hickman's writing New Avengers as well as Avengers. I know you might think that Hickman on New Avengers is a bad thing but fortunately this time it's not. New Avengers isn't a separate team, it's just another story arc that's carrying on in this book. It runs parallel with Avengers with another story and another theme that Hickman says will make sense. This team will have a purpose for once which I think is a good thing. Plus due to financial constraints, I can only add one more book to my pull list and Avengers is bi weekly so I'll pick up New Avengers in January.

Avengers Assemble is based on the concepts generated by the film The Avengers (hence why there's such a big emphasis on the tesseract and Thanos in the series). Bendis was writing it, but it looks like a new writer is coming in.

Hickman is still going to write the regular Avengers and New Avengers. (although I haven't heard about Hickman and the New Avengers)

This image is old and all they've done is turn Red Hulk into green Hulk.

This was the cover for issue 24.1 of avengers in the March solicitations.
