I'm so behind on New Avengers, regrettably. Does Black Bolt even show up in the series anymore or has he parted ways with the others since Infinity?

What ever happened to Thane?

Who's that at Thanos' side? Maelstrom?

It is just weird.
Because INHUMANITY is already dealing with the aftermath. And the New Avengers/Avengers titles have move forward. Was it delayed or something?

the relauch of this book has been super super heavy. very hard read. i felt the infinity arc was a great payoff: great characters and art. great story. thanos' web of destruction was very articulated and awe inspiring. but yeah, this book is some serious stuff. i hope the next arc is equally as good in terms of being an eager bystander in what has been a pretty epic display of comic mastery.

Who will Rise??

NAMOR coz he's gonna stab everyone in the back!!!

@warlock360:

That is Proxima Midnight one of Thanos generals.

He is still with Ebony Maw.

I'm confused how no one sees Corvius Glave reforming in New Avengers / why isn't he in the stasis box in the art there?

Edited by Oscars94

Namor betrays the illuminati. Maximus frees Thanos , Proxima Midnight, Corvus Glaive, Black Swan and Terrax. This is one of the coolest villain lineups ever. Much hype.

Infinity sure was a terrible event and I definitely do not want more of that.

Posted by deadpool25mm

@hassun: It was Awesome. I think ur getting mixed up with AoU.

Im excited, new avenger has been great, its quickly become clear that the main avengers series is just filler. enjoyable filler but new avenger has been the real deal.

I hope marvel are finally going to new 52, I know that was the original plan for age of ultron which would lead into marvel now, but they changed their mind at the last minute (hence the year delay on age of ultron).

Currently no one's home, the New Avenges are battling the Great Society on their earth. All the caged animals their holding in their headquarters including a parrallel universe version of Terrax (Galactus herald), Black Swan and Thanos and his crew are staging a breakout.

This guy complains about everything.

Edited by Oscars94

@maddpanda531: agreed, I read all of infinity at once, as soon as I collected them all. 'Twas epic! The Builders, Thanos and the Inhumans.

Posted by Maddpanda531

@oscars94: Right? Infinity was phenomenal. Best event I've read in quite a while.

Is anyone still under the belief that we will find out 616 is responsible for the incursion problem?

I thought it said that another universe was responsible but don't know which one.

Cool gif. Still don't know what the whole point of this is

I don't remember that. If you stumble across a scan please post.

@maddpanda531: so good. Hickman likes to make everything on an epic scale. I prefer single issues myself, but that was an excellent event. It had cool visuals, excellent characters and lots of action and drama.

@dernman: maybe for the conclusion of Age of Ultron and the Timestream Crash? Yes, you are not the only one...

@mr__kamikaze: he's there, they been focusing on namor and black panther mostly lately with a little reeed richards thrown in here and there

@shadowswordmaster: It says somewhere. They don't know where. Some people were saying that they believe it will be revealed that 616 started it without realizing.

YESSS!!! Thanos back at it!

Posted by Winter_Kills

Whenever I see Thanos returning I feel like Richard Rider should be back. I know Bendis is dealing with what really happened to Rich- and I hope he comes back. Thanos has come back more than once, Star-Lord's back- why not Rich?

Posted by Danial79

I get that Maximus is "mad", but I can't see why he would be doing what he's doing. Hopefully, he has a good reason.

God, I hope that Marvel NEVER gets New 52'd. EVER. I like history and some level of continuity, and the legacy of Golden Age heroes- the New 52 killed that for me.

Maximus is playing with forces he can't handle.

Amen to that! It's also baffling on how Drax is alive when he was also vaporized in Thanos Imperative. It's already been four years since Marvel deliberately omits an explanation to what happened to Rider as well as the explanation of how this new kid got the powers of the Nova Force without the worldmind that merged with Rider.

Posted by Winter_Kills

@vandersexxx:

Exactly! Glad you reminded me of Drax. He got totally smoked, and here he is, alive & well & set to be in a film. All these characters are back, yet the one character- Rich- who was one of the huge success stories of Marvel's cosmic titles, gets omitted? I know the explanation is forthcoming, though it took for freakin' years for us to get there- but I just hope that we get the REAL Nova back in the Marvel Universe, and a good explanation for where he's been. But, for now- and especially with Bendis and the current push for this new kid(who, as you mentioned, shouldn't even have powers since the Nova Force & the Worldmind were embodied in Rich)- I'm keeping my expectations low- hoping for the best but preparing for the worst. One of the covers I saw made it look like Star-Lord just left him in the Fault- or at least fought with him(though I know how misleading covers can be) which would be totally uncharacteristic considering the friendship he had with Rich and make him look like a douche. And hopefully with him set to star in his own solo book & a feature film, they'd want to avoid that. I'm not saying get rid of the Alexander kid- let him be the Earth Nova while Rich protects the cosmos as the Nova Prime, like he did before the Thanos Imperative. Marvel can have their cake and eat it too, and fans of both would be happy- I mean c'mon Marvel, what would be so bad about that? I hear people talking about Rich all the time- see conversations about him all over the internet- so his popularity is as strong as it ever was- there are just people at Marvel who aren't listening or reading and want to push their pet character.

Or AoA univerce, wich was destroyed (or surely doomed) in that damned X-termination.
Or some other in X-treme X-men. It not nesessary should be 616.

Does this have to do with that cover of New Avengers featuring Thanos and that female err, subordinate of his that looks similar to one of the earlier covers of New Avengers?

Posted by Hassun

@maddpanda531: I sure don't. Infinity was just terrible.

I think it's because there was some editorial pressure on Jonathan Hickman to add some elements to the story. Having the Builders and Thanos together was a terrible move. There are many other problems with that event (and let's be honest here, nearly all event comics are indefensible tripe) but the lack of focus was one of the main ones. The entire Thanos angle should have never been in it.

Meanwhile there are some very good titles out there, I'm nowhere near all negative.

Superior Foes of Spider-Man? Fantastic!

Daredevil? Great!

Azzarello's Wonder Woman? Awesome!

etc.

Am i one those didn't care much about INFINITY? Definitely there was some good parts and a good story just didn't care how it ends. Did i expect to much maybe. Marvel once again has disappointing me. Im not trying to be a hater. I really enjoy the story just not the ending.........lol

No, you're not alone; and I love Thanos and everything to do with the cosmic-themed elements to Marvel. Unfortunately I was likewise left flat by and large. Some of that may be my own fault though in trying to compare it to Annihilation or Infinity Gauntlet however what made those two (especially the latter) was how they were capable of being told within the series itself and not all the corollary issues.

It wasn't bad...It just wasn't anything special....

The Cause of the Incursions cannot be the Age of Apocalypse universe. The entire universe did not die. There was the Korvac- Ultimate Nullifier universe from "What If" that died. Did the universe Dr. Doom created with the infinity gauntlet parallel universe die when he left? I am sure there are more. I love Thanos and the possible break out. I don't see what the Incursion captured Terrax has to gain in anything.
