As they say, "it's all connected."

During the first season of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., many were disappointed in the lack of a big bang in the events of the show. Then we saw how Captain America: The Winter Soldier had a huge impact on the show. With the occasional appearance of characters like Nick Fury, Maria Hill, and even Sif, we're reminded that the show is tied into the Cinematic Universe from the big screen.

With Avengers: Age of Ultron hitting theaters in May, there was the question of whether or not the show would have any connection to the next Avengers film. The answer is yes indeed.

Executive producer Jed Whedon gave some information to EW.

The Avengers is the big tent that all the franchises play under. Obviously, we’re included in that.”

Unfortunately that's about all the information we're going to get. It makes sense they'll want to keep any further information strictly under wraps. With the show picking up momentum, it's good to hear that the show will continue building, especially with the official confirmation of the Kree being present in the show last week. We'll have to watch the mid-season finale, "What They Become," tonight to see if there's any developments concerning the Inhumans.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Tuesdays on ABC at 9 p.m. EST/PST. Beginning January 6, Marvel's Agent Carter takes over the time slot with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returning on March 3.
