Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Big Plans for May Sweeps

The show's momentum is building up.

Have you watched Captain America: The Winter Soldier yet? This week's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. had a big crossover due to the events of the movie. As you may have realized, there will be some minor spoilers here.

Those that saw the movie immediately wondered what the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D. would mean for the show. In a very nice fashion, we got to see some of Hydra's infiltration in this week's episode, "Turn, Turn, Turn." The notion of "Trust no one" played a big role and there were some big twists. Seeing some of the reaction to A certain high ranking S.H.I.E.L.D. agent's death was a nice touch. With the finale coming up on May 13, some of the show's big plans have been revealed.

TV Line has reported that Cobie Smulders will return as Maria Hill on the April 29th episode. We saw where she headed off to at the end of The Winter Soldier so this should answer some more questions about her future and that of S.H.I.E.L.D. Along with this news, it was said that she will, in fact, play a "large role" in the episode, compared to her brief cameo in the first episode.

It was also reported earlier that Samuel L. Jackson will also return to the show, as Nick Fury, in the May 13 finale.

Hail Hydra
