Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' and eFX at New York Comic Con 2013

Check out how you can find out more and possibly become an agent yourself (sort of).

Guess what, we are less than a month away from New York Comic Con 2013. Happening even sooner is the premiere of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on ABC.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is the first live-action television series from Marvel on ABC. It begins Tuesday, September 24, 8:00-9:00 EST/PST. The one-hour show brings back Agent Phil Coulson to lead a team of highly skilled agents with one mission: "To investigate the new, the strange and the unknown around the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary."

At NYCC, when you visit the Marvel Booth (#1354) beginning Friday, October 11, you can get a chance to (almost) touch Lola, Agent Coulson's vehicle seen in the show's trailer. You can get your picture taken with the car and pick up an exclusive mini-poster (while supplies last).

Saturday, October 12, at 5:00 p.m in the Main Theater, Jeph Loeb, Marvel's Head of Television, will lead a panel for you first look at new footage and exclusive news.

If all that wasn't enough, you can actually purchase an agent badge and ID card from eFX Inc. There is a New York Comic Con exclusive edition of their replica Phil Coulson badge and ID card. The metal badge is made from the original master molds of the one one used on screen. The ID card is made from the same digital files and comes in a real leather ID wallet, embossed with a S.H.I.E.L.D. emblem.

The NYCC-exclusive edition includes a personalized ID card. Beginning 9 a.m. PST (12 p.m. EST) September 17, you can pre-order it at and it will be available for pick up at NYCC. Each badge is $50. Personalized pre-orders must be picked up during the convention, October 10-13, at the eFX booth #1869. The exclusive edition will be a limited edition of 1500 pieces

Man, I wish I could go to NYCC. But I hope that everyone who is going will have loads of fun, especially because of stuff like this.

At least I will be checking out the series when it comes out!

I hope this doesn't suck, feeling hopeful about it. It's no Arrow though.

It's like a week until that show is on the air, right?

So looking forward to the show.

The eFX website lists that more than half the pre-sale badges have been sold. If you're interested in buying one, don't sit on the fence.

I'll check out the first 3 or so episodes to really get a judgment in. But I don't think I'm alone in saying Arrows doing things this show just won't be able to compete with. But being that it ties in with the marvel movie universe, any of you truly think arrow will be a shared universe? They've made great casting decisions so far.
