The event will be pitting some of Marvel's coolest characters against one another. According to Marvel Editor Steve Wacker, Daredevil has been given a device that makes him "the most powerful man alive," and who better than Frank Castle to target and take down the most powerful man alive? The stories will be roped together through the most recent events in Daredevil. In the series' sixth issue, Matt acquires secret information on the Marvel Universe's biggest criminal organizations. According to Daredevil writer Mark Waid, "Matt is trying to figure out the best application for this thing when Frank Castle knocks on the door." PUNISHER writer Greg Rucka delved a bit deeper into the premise of the upcoming story that will lead the two characters to cross paths.

When Frank finds out about the drive and what's on it, he figures he should have that. 'I can keep it safe and I can use it properly.' Matt hears that as 'I can keep it safe and I can use it to kill lots of people.' So you see the conflict immediately.

So how does Spider-Man get thrown into the mix? As a trusted member of the FF, Reed Richards asks Spider-Man to retrieve the device that he created which holds all that secret information from Daredevil. Chances are, Spidey won't be accomplishing his mission without having to deal with The Punisher, first.

The crossover will be launching in Avenging Spider-Man #6, co-written by both Mark Waid (DAREDEVIL) and Greg Rucka (THE PUNISHER). The crossover will be a three issue story total, one issue featured in each of the series. Based on what you know about these characters and their respective egos, do you think they will be able to put their pride to the side and work together; or will it be just one all out brawl? If the latter, who would win?
