Marvel Reveals Covers For 'Wolverine and the X-Men' #1 and #2

Probably the one X-book coming out of Schism that I'd think about reading. Loving the cover art, and I think the team is pretty interesting.

However, can't say I'm heavily invested in the X-Men and, with the New 52 still getting underway, I don't know if I've got the fundage to add yet ANOTHER title to my pull list.

Dig Bachalo, always have, I think its a love it or hate it thing with him. Kind of like brussel sprouts (which I love).

In the first picture I love the phillips and flathead screwdrivers in Beasts belt.

Only thing I'm not looking forward to are all of the classic wasted X-Men panels giving everyone's view of the schism.

i thought i would give it try despite the fact that i am not a wolverine fun but after seeing the art i say NO WAY!!! so yeah most likely im siding with uncanny x-men

I really dont understand all the hate Bachalo is getting. Judging from these two covers I love the art!

Kidding, I love what I've seen from Bachalo though... that X-Men (adjectiveless) story arc was pretty cool.

Loved Bachalo when he did Steampunk, but his art just doesn't seem right for the X-Men.

Soooo about Wolverine and the X-Men cartoon show...we want season 2. I honestly wouldn't mind a continuation of the tv show through comics either as long as it was canon.

Love Chris Bachalo's work.

However, since I first started following him on Generation X, his style of storytelling has dramatically improved and regressed in different areas. I love his simple, fluid line-work in foreground characters. But sometimes the man needs to reel himself in; especially, when in comes to detail and moving the reader from panel to panel.

Steampunk is a great example of how wonderfully textured and organic his work can be. Unfortunately, that kind of artwork worked terribly as a narrative. There's SO MUCH happening on the page and so little room to work in. I often had to 're-read' pages to figure out what heck just happened. Also, Joe Kelly's script did not help alleviate any of that 'confusion'. In retrospect, the series would've made for a fantastic, ARTBOOK, but not necessarily a comic book.

Hopefully, Chris Bachalo will keep himself under control in Wolverine and the X-Men because he's the reason I'm even remotely interested in the title; it sure as hell ain't because of Ol' Patch himself.

Digging Bachalo's art as usual, but two Icemen on the same team? And that McCoy still looks a lot more like Dark Beast compared to lovable old Hank (the red goggles, tools, and lack of feline features).

I don't think that is 2 Icemen...can't really tell, that's some of the problem with Bachelo's art...the charactors aren't always recognizable

I'm a fan of Bachalo, but these covers are not good. I can't even tell who several of the characters are.

I do not really like the art for the cover but I think the series should be interesting. It has a good team and i think Wolverine could be a good leader.

Other than Iceman, I couldn't care less about any of these characters, which is why I'm glad they are tethered to the overrated douche bag that is Wolverine. Good Riddance you drunken midget, feel free to forget where Utopia is.

edit: Looking closer, I can see that it's actually not just Wolverine, but man I shouldn't have to look twice to see the rest of the team. That's almost as bad and it seems like a result of the colorist's choice.

LOVE BACHALO. Hope he stays on for a while. Glad to see Night Crawler in more then one book too.
