Marvel 'March to AXIS' Solicitations and Covers

Looking forward to this, reminds of 1989 when "Acts of Vengeance!" was the major crossover. If you never read it, check it out. "Loki sets about convincing the super-villains of Earth to attack heroes other than those they normally fight in an attempt to destroy the Avengers to absolve his guilt over inadvertently creating the team in the first place."

Is deadpool actually gonna be a major player in this event or is he just in this picture because he's popular?

Infinity was the best Marvel event since Civil War, to me. Potentially one of the best I've read in over 20 years.

I'm undecided on Original Sin. Leaning toward good. Still, I think events run dry because they are obligated to do them. I think that's why they're gonna reboot it like D.C., to be honest. Continuity is all messed up. There's things happening in various books that contradict others and it's just too much now. I think they're gonna reboot.

@degraaf: Rogue had taken on Wolverine's powers when he couldn't go on any further after Daken beat him to a bloody pulp. We can only assume this was before he lost his healing powers because he managed to survive this afterwards. This happened wayyyy back, when both she and Sunfire were convinced Wanda was pulling another "No More Mutants" speech. Rogue mortally stabbed Wanda but was promptly zapped/fried to a crispy skeleton by a z-list henchman. Wanda took Power Man's last bit of energy (effectively killing him but he insisted) to complete her spell which was actually her double-crossing the Twins, not what Rogue and the others thought. Then she died from Rogue's stab wounds. Problem was, she played into the Twins hands who actually triple crossed/tricked her. (sorry if I lost you somewhere there)

Rogue hasn't been seen since. She's disappeared from Wood's adjectiveless X-Men book without explanation and that's pretty much how the rest of the Marvel Universe has been reacting to her, Wanda and Simon's deaths. By not reacting. Which makes what's going on over in Uncanny Avengers an almost separate continuity from 616 except, you know, it's still 616, haha. Technically.

Wait! So people are saying that that was originally supposed to be Green Goblin, but then they decided to change it to Hobgoblin after the art was done and to do so just recolored it. That's just stupid. That's obviously Osborn. Unless Kingsley got plastic surgery to look like Osborn, that's just ridiculous.

That Cap issue 24 not mentioning Cap sure makes me happy I'm subscribed to a book called Captain America. At first this looked ok but something seems very "meh" about it.

People are pissed with his Captain America because it made big changes on the character but I really love what he has done with Rogers. I really loved the first arc (which was what pissed most people off) and the homage JRJr did to Kirby's science fiction there and the second part it's been just as good.

As for Uncanny Avengers, it started a bit slow, the first arc was really boring, but if you love Uncanny X-Force you really should read that book. Not only because it's a direct sequel to that but because right now it's as good as his Uncanny X-Force used to be.

The thing with Remender in Marvel is that he doesn't give a f*ck about anything. That upsets some fans but it also allows him to make really fresh and unique stuff.

I have my faith in Rick Remender.

I finally get to see Rogue again (that cover looks great) and having Doom involved with Loki should be fun. I hate that Red Skull still has Xavier's brain, bloody stupid idea, I would prefer pretending that never happened.

To be fair the avengers one is to be hickman last arc of both new avengers and avengers . It should be from what I read just going to be in those two books.

I'm in total agreement with everything you just said, bro- couldn't have put it better myself. Brubaker saved the Cap book, and made Bucky an awesome character- and now, under Remender's pen, I can see the book going on the downward slide again, and I hate that- there's gotta be better suited writers- you think Marvel would realize that with the success of the espionage/political thriller vibe that Captain America: The Winter Soldier film had, they would find a writer that would continue in that vein, with Brubaker-esque & Steranko-esque elements. I mean, I love "Kirbyisms" as much as the next guy, but Remender takes it way too far-I mean, just look at Jet Black, she's like Marvel's Big Barda, and it's pretty blatant. The Red Skull's manipulation of capitalism and American society & politics was what made him so dangerous in Bru's run, and a modern threat that hits close to home, and now Remender's reverted him back to a villain grasping at ultimate power Combining the Red Skul with a '90s throwback idea like Onslaught? Ugh. I hope Remender's time on Cap is brief, and as I said earlier I hope and pray that Remender doesn't become the writer of a Winter Soldier ongoing- he's just totally wrong for the title, and I feel the same way about Cap. Will definitely be skipping the main event here and reading titles like Loki and Magneto that look promising. (BTW, your avatar is freakin' awesome, Bucky kicks ass!)

I really don't care for what he's doing in Captain America and hate what he's done with Red Skull in Uncanny Avengers. He's basically undone everything Brubaker did to made the characters modern and cool, and instead has reverted them back to their weird, wacky sci-fi 70s versions. I get that the guy likes the old 70s sci-fi Cap stories or whatever, but there's a reason why Cap's titles were all failing before Brubaker's run.

Forever Evil was DCs version of Dark Reign.

None of the villains are trying to be heroes this time around. (At least that we know of, yet. Magneto did his heel/face turn years ago now.)

... personally, I'd really like to see one of the heroes get on TV during the next alien invasion and say "Hey, Wrecking Crew. Frightful Four. Masters of Evil. Where are you going to spend your money if we loose this? You'll fight Thor for a few bucks at a bank, but some aliens show up and you hide under a rock?"

I was hesitant about this, but after seeing this premise and gazing at those covers, I say I'm in! When was the last time the villains had a giant team-up!? Red Skull, Dr. Doom, Loki, Goblin, Zola, etc. If that power team doesn't induce a fangasm right there, I don't know what will. It reminds me a bit of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. Plus RICK freakin REMENDER is writing it!!!

The one thing I'm confused about is how long it took someone at Marvel to realize that Red Skull was a perfect threat to mutantkind. I presume this is the infamous mutant genocide that UA has been building up to?

I would say I'm sick of event comics, but that's beating a dead horse, resurrecting it as a zombie, killing it again and beating it some more. But I agree with everyone else here that at least this event is heroes vs. villains instead of heroes vs. heroes. Loki Agent of Asgard looks like a pretty awesome tie-in, can't get enough Loki, and it's been a great ride so far- and even the Magneto tie-in looks pretty good. I remember when Mags nearly killed the Skull during Gruenwald's Cap run- the fact that the Skull now has part of Xavier's brain and Onslaught's powers will change things up a bit, hope they have a head-on fight. But I will say here and now that I'm definitely not a fan of what Remender is doing with Cap- it's been a hugely lackluster run for me, especially following the awesomeness that is Brubaker- and I've officially dropped the book. It just seems dated and repetitive. As a Cap fan that's something I haven't done in a long time. And as much as I love Bucky/Winter Soldier, the Bitter March hasn't wowed me at all- I hope they don't let him write a Winter Soldier ongoing. Some of the tie-ins look promising, but as for the event itself? With Remender at the helm I don't think I'll be following.

I think I'd be okay with this event if it weren't Remender, but unfortunately his style is just way too violent (and arguably misogynistic-- though I'm not going to bother with that fight right now) for my tastes. Ever since his book pulled Rogue out of Wood's (with, by the way, no explanation or apology...though I guess that's on editorial as much as anyone), I've been annoyed by the power he has within the company.

So hopefully it's good and worth reading but I've gotta say I'm pretty relieved that (at least for now) none of the actual X-Men books are part of this.

I'm really looking forward to that event. Most of the comics I'm ready link into it. I'm surprised they haven't announced tie-ins for the series with the heroes in the title picture (like the Deadpool, Inhuman, Iron Man or future Storm series). To be honest I really don't understand why people complain about this event. They haven't really shown anything yet to rage about. I get being tired of the over-abundance of events but to hate it just because it's'guilty of being an event seems kind of easy. Besides more Rick Remender is good for me. I love his Uncanny Avengers (a little bit less his Captain.A).

So much hate on this event. You're all the same people who complain about hero vs hero events(Trinity War). You're all the same who complain about with villains vs villains (Forever Evil). All you guys ever do is complain, b$itch and moan, I bet half you don't even know what you want out of stories, and are just ban wagging on what the current trend is.

Loki AoA is just so damn good (although I wish Jenny Frison will come back to do more covers for this book).

This looks a bit meh but I'm picking up Loki , Magento , and Uncanny.
