Marvel Eyeing Vin Diesel

Sweet! I like Vin Diesel, and I hope Marvel gets a character that fits him.

I think it would be really interesting to see him as vision. They already have an actor for Thanos, no reason to select a different one.

I think he's either going to voice Groot, or he's being offered the part of Thanos.

They should steer away from Diesel. I think it would be a mistake for any role.

Honestly I think Vin Diesel is way to much of a wannabe badass. Playing a cool headed android like vision isn't his cup of tea. (This is my first post on the vine btw)

I am proceeding with my theory that Avengers 2 will deal with a Masters of Evil-like team. Vin Deisel could be being considered for the Executioner or the Absorbing Man.

You do realize that's a common nickname for them, right? Seeing as the word "Marvel" is used 5 times, I didn't want to keep spamming the same word.

First of all, that poster was a terribly inconvenient and expensive idea. Secondly, right. Because it's not like Marvel is destroying DC in films right now with about six to eight different franchises against DC's two (one of which is now done). If Marvel just copied DC, then they wouldn't be winning like they have been for fifty years.

Marvel, in all honesty, is somewhat stupid about casting when it comes to their own studio. They approached Scarlett Johanssen for Iron Man 2 but just for an unspecified female role, they wanted to work with her but tailored a role around her which is an awful idea. They floated Moonstone and the Scarlet Witch by her but ultimately decided on Black Widow. She does a sufficient job as Black Widow but not necessarily amazing in any way the way RDJr is as Iron Man.

I imagine it's something just as boulder-headed when it comes to Vin Diesel. "Hey Vin, the 18-45 male age bracket likes you so we do too. What role do you want to play?" - so silly.

No for Vin as Vision. He doesn't feel like Vision when acting. He's too "thuggish" & "rugged".

The only thing that they need Vin Diesel for, is if they decide to run a reality comic. Like the 'Stupid People Tell the Stupider People What to Read.' Sounds like the government doesn't it.

I can honestly see Diesel as a S.H.I.E.L.D agent more than Vision. But not just a background agent though. Somewhere near the level attention Coulson got maybe

Anything truly; I can see him working any number of roles. Particularly with Whedon's guidance I can't see it being anything other than entertaining at the worst.

I don't like him as vision or thanos. Im surprised so many do. I could see him as drax, but that is already cast. Executioner would be a better role in my mind.

Agreed. I thought it was really preposterous that they never seemed to even consider Vin Diesel for a role that was tailored for him as much as Nick Fury was for Samuel Jackson.

Oh well, I really like Vin Diesel, and even if it's too late to get him in the perfect role, I would still like to see him play a character in the Marvel films.
