Marvel Confirms Gillen and McKelvie on YOUNG AVENGERS

@pspin: Marvel has no idea what to do with the Runaways. (And somehow Spider-Man and Wolverine still have things to do). But if you read the CBR interview, they will show up in Young Avengers.

Lineup sounds interesting. Never liked the original Young Avengers all that much but with Loki in it I may have to give at least the first issue a try

where is speed? And what happened to Patriot? Is he dead or something?

Pumped, but skeptical, Heinberg is the genius that is the Young Avengers. Otherwise HELL YES!!!!!!!

Kid Loki has become my favorite character thanks to JiM. As long as he's there in any book, and especially if he's being written by Gillen, I'm sold.

I would also maybe like to see, down the line, maybe a few kids from the Jean Grey school. Armor preferably, but Quentin Quire might have a good dynamic with Loki.

I love the Young Avengers, I will miss the original line up. I mean where is Speed, Patriot. Still cannot wait.

I wish Marvel continued the Young Avengers after Children's Crusade, have Scarlet Witch become a member. She would sort of be like Red Tornado in Young Justice but not really a mentor or leader, just would have no place else to go. And Scott Lang could be in it too. Just kept the team going, maybe show they needed each other right after the events of Crusade. Sort of like how they kept News Radio going one more season after the death of Phil Hartman because they group said they needed one another at that time.

Still, I am interested in this.

That's a really cool cover. Im honestly excited for this series and while I am not happy about the possibility of my favorite team being killed in Avenger's Arena it's nice to see more teen titles in this initiative.

@Dernman: I know but he appeared in Daken frist where they directly mentioned him getting hit by a car, I don't believe they did in Avengers Academy

The book could use some new blood, maybe some of the castoffs ( or survivors?) of Avengers Academy can be brought on to freshen up the line up. Too bad Stature is dead, she was my fav Young Avenger

This series looks good but I really don´t want the story turns in a way where in an issue Loki was plannig somtheng evil within his original plan for the team that´s a resource so many times used that it will take away the originality of this series if it´s poorly done.

This looks great, Marvel NOW! sounds like it's doing a damn good job focusing on every title individually despite the massive amount of titles that are brand names or the fact that most of the books are team books.

i love the fact they're bringing back Young Avengers after a far too long hiatus, but i am confused about a few things. mainly about why noh-var, an ex-avenger, and traitor, would be brought on a team full of teens? loki i get, ms america i just hope is interesting, and kate bishop i guess will be pulling double-time between this and hawkeye. otherwise the only thing left to say is i hope we get the rest of the team we all know.

As upset as I was with the announcement of Avengers Arena, is as ecstatic as I am for the announcement of Young Avengers. I miss these characters so much, and the inclusion of Noh-Varr and Kid Loki will certainly shake things up a bit. Stature died and Patriot quit and I'm willing to let that sink in a bit, but I hope Speed makes his way back into this book soon. Between this and New Avengers starring Black Panther I am totally back on board for Marvel Now!

What is Noh-Varr doing here? isn't he an Avenger?, even if he was left behind in the kree world. Are they sending him bak to triple A??

No clue who most of those characters or the creative team is but this many positive comments rate it as something to check out in my book.

Patriot moved to Scottdale after giving up being a young avenger.

And Iron Lad is traveling in the time-stream after killing the young vision. Hoping to prevent Cassie's death.

I am very excited about this title. Although there are some missing characters, it should turn out great.
