Marvel Comics Previews: 2/5/14

Cant wait for Superior Foes and Punisher.

Cannot wait for Punisher! Never been a fan of him, but the art looks great!

Picking up Black Widow and All New Invaders plus giving the new Ms Marvel a look. Might even try the new Wolverine series just for Stegman's art.

Since i am a DC reader i will pick up captain america at my LCBS sale when i can get it cheaper.

I just realized that Wolverine's new duds make him look like the Superior Wolverine.

Superior Foes is awesome, really excited for this issue!

Superior Foes of Spider-Man is one of the best books that Marvel is putting out. It is really a great read.

Marvel's numbering system is annoying now. Even the comics that are already #1, have it once in the upper right corner and again in the lower right corner. Then comics that are the first in a new arc have #1 in the upper right, but the issue number, which is different, in the lower right. I understand they probably do it for new readers (which makes me think they should just do mini-series instead of full series) but it's a little confusing at first.

It's kinda weird how folks feel obligated to announce what they're buying -- and not just in this thread, but every preview-related thread. Like, it makes sense in the official "new comics this week" thread because the whole point of the thread is just saying what is coming out. For this thread it would make more sense to just discuss the previews themselves. For the "this week's essential," responding to the staff picks or making one's own list would make sense. But invariably people respond to all preview-related threads with just a list of the books they will be buying.

Obviously people are free to do as they please but I just find it weird.

Speaking of weird, the Infinite Comics format does not seem to lend itself to this kind of thing, haha. Still looking forward to this week's Gauntlet though -- loved the Twilight jab.

Marvel can put #1 on all the comics they want, but for a new fan like me, unless they reboot their continuity, it's just too hard to get into. Yes the New 52 has done a lot wrong, but for a new fan like me, it was perfect.

I hope the Loki series is good and goes on im a huge loki fan...

So Wolverine was killable and now he has a suit that can withstand nuclear detonation with claws built in...really? They seem to be running out of ideas with Wolverine so lets just put him on ice for a while. Put him in a coma or in stasis to keep him from dying from adamantium poisoning. At least until we can get some better ideas for him

Is Iron Man better now? I left after issue 9
