Marvel Announces Charles Soule as New Writer of INHUMAN

This is weird... but maybe it means fraction has something even bigger in the works at Marvel? One can hope

@redqueen: This is what infuriates me the most about all of this. FF was one of my favorite series in a long time, and it ended before it's time only so Fraction could write this book... except now he isn't. Simply befuddling to me.

Maybe he's leaving all his DC titles to do more Marvel ones. Considering DC just released their solicits for March and Inhuman #1 comes out in April, maybe when DC's April solicits are released next month, there'll be a new writer attached to each book currently written by Soule.

I feel like I'm part of a larger problem with this, but I'm only really interested in this book because I love Madureira's magic with a pencil. I'll give it a shot just to watch more of his amazing artwork.

Please someone explain how discovering your an Inhuman is different from discovering your a mutant?

@akindoodle: Milligan's run had a whole 12 good issues before spiraling off into insane horribleness. So far Soule has done nothing but claw at the continuity and wank off Guy.

I think Tony Bedard will take over Red Lanterns, since it's crossing over with Supergirl.

what will Fraction be doing now? His FF is cancelling so will he be writing anything at all.

I can't help but think that his work will suffer from it. I mean he writes 6 titles and he is a lawyer too.

So is he completely rewriting the story of this book, or is he still going to go by Fraction's script?

I like Soule and all, but I feel like Marvel is doing Fraction wrong. This series was his idea after all.

I've been a fan of the Red Lanterns since they debuted, and I have to say, I love what Soule is doing. He's made Guy Gardener and the rest of the Reds all that more interesting.

How are sales on his other books. Is something getting close to cancelled? I don't see how he can write this many books at once.

As long as he's still on She-Hulk and Supes/WW, then I'm good with this and will consider picking up Inhumans now. Great replacement for Fraction but still would've love to read Fraction's writing on this series.

You need to take a deep breath and think a little about how important one man writing 5 issues of a comic franchise you enjoy is. If you don't like it then stop reading it... My only concern with Charles writing this book is that he'll stop writing Thunderbolts. Thunderbolts is my favorite book right now thanks to him, I was really close to dropping it before he got on.

I just want someone to explain the system to me. How a book can get as close to publication as solicits -- complete with a promotional campaign -- and then have a creative team change prior to a first issue. Does that mean that whatever Fraction wrote will just never see the light of day? Or that an unwritten book was being promoted vigorously? Or what?

I just added this to my pull and it's already being changed. That worries me about Marvel's actual knowledge of what they're doing with the title.

Alex Mercer is finally getting another comic. Lol. I just want Red Lanterns and Swamp Thing to continue being good. The more books Soule takes on the more concerned I become with an overall drop in quality.

Hopefully his quality doesn't drop because I've been enjoying all the books written by him that I read.

If they say he's doing a good job then their heads are obviously so far up their own asses they can't see past his reputation. 0.2% of comic readers actually know ANYTHING about the Red Lanterns, less know everything, and Soule has made it clear that he knows absolutely nothing. His run has been a hateful mockery of everything I held dear about the characters and mythos and I want to choke him to death every time I even consider the fact that he's getting paid to write it.

Charles Soule, busiest man in comics.

If Charles Soule is anywhere as talented as Jeremy Soule, this should be an interesting series.

Also, is anyone else excited about the apparent return of The Hood?

@joygirl, critics seem to have responded fairly well to his Red Lantern run. I can't comment on it though as I am not reading it. Out of all the books he is writing I would also guess if he decides to drop one it would be Red Lanterns.
