Another informative Marvel panel here we come! Let's meet all of Spider-man's avenging friends! Live blogtastic! It all starts in 5 minutes!
1:50- Singh hosts the event once again. Axel Alonso, Huberto Ramos, Mark Waid, Rick Remender, Zeb Wells, Antony Johnston, Stephen Wacker are all on the stage for this run... Nick Spencer runs up onto the stage. Greg Rucka wasn't introduced and got sad. Signh asks if everyone enjoyed "Big Time" and Dan Slott sends in a video.

1:55- Slott promotes Spider-Island, which is everyone getting Spider-powers... Kicks off in Amazing Spider-Man #666. Wacker holds up the issue everyone says "ooh." They will give the one copy away and a signed copy of Daredevil #1. Here comes some Ramos covers, one features J Jonah Jameson doing some webslinging.
Nick Spencer will be working on Cloak and Dagger in August with Rios on art. It's a part of the Spider-Island madness.
2:00 Spider Girl features Tobin and Larraz. Part of her past will come back to haunt her. It's going to be a big book for Marvel.
Anthony Johnston and Fiumara will be working on Deadly Hands of Kung Fum also available in August. Deadly Foes by Slott, Gage, Van Lente is a one-shot and will be out in August. One story is about Hobgoblin and the other is about Jackal.
Avengers by Yost and McKone and Spider-Woman by Van Lente and Camuncoli Spider-Island tie-ins will be out in September.
2:05- I Love New York City by Rucka DeConnick and a bunch of other people. It features 4 stories.
Issue 8 of Venom, by Remender and Medina, ties into Spider-Island.
Venom will be dealing with Anti-Venom? This tie-in will come into a store near you in October. Issue 9 is when Medina jumps on and the book takes a whole new direction.
Avenging Spider-Man #1 will be in stores in November by Zeb Wells and Joe Madureira. Art looks good and the book will be Spidey teaming up with some bigger name heroes and beating everything up.
Singh calls Daredevil the best book being published by any company right now. [It's very very good, but not the best.] There's a spread from the second issue. It looks great and I should have the pictures for it.
Waid essentially says it's hard to follow Frank Miller's run, even decades later, and Waid was nervous but he has a contemporary take on the book, but "you don't need to have a drink after every issues."
4:10- Onto Punisher. Rucka describes in graphic detail how to kills someone. From the sounds of how Rucka is talking about the book, it sounds like it's going to be incredibly violent, but still a good book. Honestly, Punisher hasn't been the same since Ennis left the book. The first two issues ship in August. Moon Knight and Daredevil were great, so I have a good feeling this will be as well. Question time!
4:20- "This is not Max Punisher... He's not tied to Vietnam." states Rucka. Q: Is Avenging Spider-Man going to be a team-up issue? Is Amazing going to once a month? A: Still twice a month, and Avenging will essentially be that. Guy tries getting Humberto to do some drawings for him. Q: Will Ben Riley come back? A: No. There are no plans to go down that road again. Q: Why did you get rid of Aunt May? A: She hasn't left the island yet. Q: Where there will be a Brand New Day Hardcover Omnibus? A: Singh says he'll mention it to David and it's a good idea.
4:30- Q: Carnage sequel? A: It's coming out at the end of the year. Zeb really wants Cletus back, and now that he's back, he wants to bring in as many characters as he can and make it an event. Q: Is Avenging taking place the same time as Amazing? A: Yes. They both take place after Spider-Island. Q: How are you going to make the Jackal work? A: Wacker isn't into the Jackal, but the guys sold him on the story and character.He thinks the new Jackal stuff is terrific.
4:40- Q: Are there plans to undo One More Day? A: No. [Yes, it sucked, but let's not undo the story that undid something. Thanks Marvel for just rolling with the punches] Q: Is anyone gonna notice that Peter Parker is good with his spider powers in Spider-Island and will people come out of it with powers? A: Read Spider-island. An older gentleman gets on the mic and complains. Way to end the panel... with complaints. Stephen Wacker makes fun of him. Spoiler... 2010... on the screen Ben Riley's hoodie on fire.
