According to The Hollywood Reporter, Malese Jow, best known for her work on The Vampire Diaries, has been cast as the main love interest for Barry Allen. Jow will be playing Linda Park. While, in the comics, Linda Park ends up marrying Wally West, who became The Flash after Barry died, they've revamped her a little bit for the show.
a quick-witted reporter for the Central City Picture News. She befriends Iris (Candice Patton) while at work and helps her navigate the fast-paced world of journalism. When she meets Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) at a local bar, the two hit it off and become quick friends.
She will first appear in episode 112 of this season. Linda Park first appeared in FLASH #28 back in 1989. She started off as the girlfriend of Kid Flash and then the eventual wife of Wally. This is a big change from comic to television, so fans man be a bit stand-offish about it.
The Flash airs on Tuesday nights on the CW. Expect Linda Park to make her first appearance in 2015.
