Look at Booster Gold and Blue Beetle in Smallville!

They're looking mighty accurate.

A live action Booster Gold.  There’s something truly remarkable about a show like SMALLVILLE getting successful enough that its crew can basically do whatever they want for this tenth and final season. In this case (reported via TV Guide) you’ve got a living, breathing vision of Booster Gold played by Eric Martsolf that looks spot-on accurate to the character as he was introduced in the comics. And let’s emphasize his introduction, since the Booster appearing in the April 22 episode of SMALLVILLE will be the glory hog jock we knew first before he went through all his character growth and maturation.

Seeing as how BG’s coming from the future, it’s worth noting how the continuity of the DCU will take some twists in turns to fit him into SMALLVILLE’s “verse.” For one, Booster’s actually going to be partially inspiring Clark to finally become Superman. While his showboating ways will certainly put off the “do good deeds in secret” philosophy, the positive way that the masses respond to him will show Clark how said masses need an indentifiable hero. And better Supes than Booster Gold, right? == TEASER ==

The temporal-reordering doesn't stop there, of course. BG will also be sheppharding the origin of Blue Beetle, with Jaime Reyes getting the scabbard and beginning his own transformation in this episode, as well. Anybody hoping for the old Blue and Gold magic will have to wait, though. Reyes will (naturally) be put off by Booster's ostentatious airs, so the dream team will be at odds in this one.
