This is an idea that seemed likely but also one that felt it like it would never happen. LEGO is in the unique position of holding licenses from several different properties including rival comic book companies Marvel and DC. We've seen several LEGO video games including some Batman ones. Even though we've seen a few different Marvel LEGO sets, it just didn't feel possible that we'd see a video game.
It turns out dreams do come true. Game Informer just posted this video.

Developed by TT Games and working with LEGO and Marvel, the game is due for Fall 2013 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, PC, DS, 3DS and PlayStation Vita. The game will feature an original story that has Nick Fury call upon Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Spider-Man and Wolverine to save Earth from Loki and Galactus.
Seriously, I don't need to know anymore. I'm completely sold on this.
Apparently more than 100 Marvel characters can be unlocked including Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Deadpool and more.
Imagine if someday we could get a LEGO Marvel and DC game...
