A picture is worth a thousand words!

We've all heard the 'controversy over certain scenes in Scott Lobdell's RED HOOD AND THE OUTLAWS #1. As a long time writer of the New Teen Titans, Marv Wolfman wrote many many issues with Starfire. This weekend at Long Beach Comic Con, Marv Wolfman expressed his thoughts on Lobdell's take on Starfire.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

Marv Wolfman is from a different planet. His attitudes and cultural perspective on violence is just different to us Earthlings. We should accept his liberal attitudes on and towards violence though choking stuff, because we all know, secretly we all like to choke stuff, and people that don't like to choke stuff should stop whining and just stop buying the uh... uhm, wait, huh? Anyway, his body his choice, don't oppress people, people!!

I agree wholeheartedly. If these two want to practice public erotic asphyxiation we should encourage them, not point and say stop, and join in even if the chance presents itself to solidify that support, and...

Oops, my mother just walked in the room! *^o^*

Now take him to a computer or typewriter and make him Re-Write Teen Titans the way they SHOULD be Written. Please Wolfman, I want Beast Boy and Raven and other character portrayals that don't suck!

No. Obviously, it's Scott Lobdell about to get choked the f**k out.

Marv doesn't look stealthy i mean look at his shirt. so how did he get that close without lobdell noticing? and might i add lobdell has terrible reflexes

.....Get 'im Marv! Seriously, I met the guy this year. Real nice fella. Even autographed my copies of History of the DC Universe Books One and Two, right next to Karl Kesel. Now I gotta get George Perez's autograph...

I'm not sure if I should scream awesome or no! :P

Posted by obscurefan

If he meant this, then he is the man, if he was just joking then I'm kind of ticked because now I still don't know how he feels.

Pretty obvious it's the latter.

I actually like that they're being amiable about it. I've been very critical of Red Hood and the Outlaws but none of that ire should be directed at the writer, just the implementation of the book.

@Suprman

Scott Lobdell already said that Raven is coming back. Anyway, stop being a tool. This Teen Titans has actually been pretty damned good. Probably just another fan who is SO pissed off about losing prior history that he/she won't read any of The New 52 (pretty ridiculous when you consider some of the stupidity and BS that was considered part of the old DCU....).

CHOKE HIM, MARV. CHOKE THE LIFE OUT OF HIM.

If its a good experience or not is entirely dependant on the reader, some love it, some hate it.

What's wrong with Starfire--?

Posted by DCJustice666

but serriously though why did lobdell think it was a good idea to make Starfire a sl*t and just act like she can do whatever and whenever she wants! so yea he deserves to get choked by Marv!

Posted by RedheadedAtrocitus

Wolfman is great, but darn it don't hurt Lobdell! I'm loving his Superboy series right now...go easy on him! Teehee...

@DEADPOOL:

Apparently all the babies that used to watch the Teen Titans toon are shocked to find out that she's a full-grown adult full of empowerment.

Go figure.

While my knowledge of the Teen Titans comic is limited, I have always had the understanding that Starfire was always a free-love star hippie with a revealing costume, but was also a competent warrior and a powerful staple of the Teen Titans team. And while I haven't read the new Starfire, she seems the same to me. A contrast from the cartoon where she was a naive child-like alien.

Posted by Tellumo

Judging by starfires costume i'd say he enjoys that.
