Kevin Smith Prasies Ben Affleck's Batsuit

I created a thread just like this a while ago. I assume Ill be getting compensated, I accepts checks and credit cards.

Hopefully grey and black! Been waiting for an actual grey Batman costume on film forever. Here's hoping it's a less hulking, slow Batman as well. Batsy's an agile fella!

I also am not sure we can take Kevin Smith at his word considering his close connections to the people involved also... so fingers crossed.

I trust Smith, I trust Affleck. Don't hate appreciate.

I imagine they're stick a bit closer to the New 52 suit, although I actually wouldn't mind something along the lines of the Arkham games.

I wish I could trust Kevin Smith, but I don't. That being said, I hope his appreciation turns out to be accurate. Based on leaked concept art it almost looked like the same type of getup from Dark Knight Rises.

It will be grey i think, be more inline with a famous older version of Batman. It has to be something iconic and not been done before base don the Statement and that's the most iconic suit yet to be committed to life action.

How can you not trust what he said?

And I'm not assuming this is anyone else's reason, but Kevin Smith has sold out pretty heavy the past several years too.

Affleck may be awesome as Batman, the suit may be awesome, but it's still going to be a movie directed by Zack Snyder when it all comes together. I sure hope they don't add Wonder Woman and ruin her on film like they did Superman.

I really don't understand why so many people want it to be grey.

All black is just so much more believable.

Why would you lighten up your suit if you're main advantages are usually sticking to the shadows?

Well, Affleck is Smith's like, best friend, I'm pretty sure I'll take his opinion with a grain of salt.

So because he's friends with Affleck we cant believe that the suit isn't black?

I was a big fan of Man Of Steel so I'm trusting Snyder on the costume. Also Kevin Smith is a speaks his mind kind of guy. Since he approves of the costume I have high hopes for it. I really want it to have the yellow circle bat symbol again and not just the black bat.

Anyways...to each their own I guess. I definitely prefer the all black suits.

Monotone vs two-tone. Lets you see definition for one thing. I'm sick to death of the all black, heavy armor suits.

This may be it,cause they made Arkham Origins suit,look movie-like for a reason.........Arkham City-Asylum suit was full comicbooks,but Origins it was too movie-ish.......maybe it's pre-movie marketing or something......i hope this is the case,cuz i love the suit in Origins...

capullo design would be awesome with the DKR inspired cowl, i hope they don't show his eyes and have the screens like the comics or animated stuff

My only issues are his legs are too thick in that image, but it was the best I could find. But yeah, I agree, this is one of the most realistic Batman suits I've seen in a while and it wouldn't be hard to translate something like this into a full-blown movie Bat-Suit.

Kevin Smith and Ben Affleck are not best friends. He hasn't talked to Ben Affleck in over 6-7 years (as he's stated on his many podcasts). You can say many things about Kevin Smith, but you can't say he isn't candid. He speaks what he feels and doesn't hold back. If he didn't like the suit, he would have said he didn't like it or he just wouldn't have mentioned it at all. He mentioned it on 'Hollywood Babble-On' which he hosts with Ralph Garmin, who is a huge Adam West fan. Kevin told Ralph that even he would be excited about the new suit, which leads me to believe it'll draw influence from Adam West and include Blue and Gray.

I'm skeptical but open to Afleck as Batman. Still, they need to get a picture of him in costume as soon as possible. By that, I mean a well lit shot, along the lines of that Cavill Superman picture with the crushed safe.

That said. Smith is hardly an unbiased source. By this new direction, I wonder if they could be going the way of the grey body-armor, ala the ARKHAM CITY game.

@allstarsuperman: Keep meaning to read that. It'll probably be after I finish Morrison's Action Comics run though (Yeah, I'm behind on my comic book reading).

It'll look like the Noel suit I bet, like it was rumoured.

Im Guessing the original, Blue cowl, boots and gauntlets. Grey Suit. Yellow Emblem. However, it makes great sense that they would go new 52. There is no telling. Doesnt matter anyways. Ben Affleck is Batman....
