John Favreau may be busy in the Iron Man 2 editing room these days. Kenneth Branaugh just began principal photography for Thor, though, and the 2012 film's set is Favreau's new favorite place to wander during his off hours. The Elf director and Swingers star has been tweeting more about Branagh's film than his own this week. In fact, there might be a little jealously poking through.

"Congrats to Kenneth and the Thor gang on first day of photography," Favreau wrote on Monday. "I will [definitely exercise] 'executive privilege' and hang out on their set."

He made good on his promise by Tuesday and commenced lavishing praise upon when he saw behind the scenes.

"Visited the Thor set," he noted. "I would look cool in one of those costumes."

His most enviable announcement came about an hour later thought in response to Twitter query about Thor's legendary hammer Mjolnir. Asked if he had seen the iconic weapon from Norse mythology and Marvel comics, Favreau was tight-lipped but to the point.

"I certainly did," he said.

Do you want to see some TwitPic's posted to Favreau's account? Because I certainly do. Hopefully it looks a little more polished than the hammer from Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.
