'Justice League: War' Release Date Announced

Nice. I'm looking forward to this a lot. Doesn't matter that Aquaman isn't in it.

Calling it now, it's gonna leak on Animeflavor weeks before the actual release date.

I thought the most reliable rumor was that the Aquaman animated movie would be based on The Trench.

I'm looking forward to the movie, but I probably won't like it as much as any one of the previous movies, i mean wonder woman's costume looks lame, and they replaced aquaman who has really become badass with Shazam, 3 flying super strong heroes is a bit too much...

Not really looking forward to this one. DC's animated features may have finally jumped the shark for me.

uhm, this is old news, found out about this when the trailer went up. (google is so awesome). was so disappointed as i was hoping to see it soon. dont get why they releasing the trailer now when the movie doesnt come out for several months. my hype for it is already dying and it will be gone by feb. oh well, dc does it again

Maybe I'll purchase a previous DC animated movie I don't own yet...

odd that they aren't going for a release date before Christmas and are waiting till Q1 to release it.

After seeing Wonder Woman I was done. Then they just wanted to trow different versions of Batman and Superman at us when they could have made other heroes we rarely see in things.

If there is gonna be a solo Aquaman animated movie, then yes it would most likely be based on the Trench. Which I would love.

But I think he's saying that if Aquaman is gonna be in a Justice League animated movie, that it'd be awesome to be Throne of Atlantis.

Green Lantern's animated movies were good IMO. And I like the Justice League ones they came out with.

Hopefully this is as good as Flashpoint. Jay Olvia and his Partners have gotten a lot better at finding the emotional in to these Justice League films so that they arent just a bit team plot with no real arc to it. Justice LeagueDoom kinda underwhelmed me on that front than again I haven't seen it in a good while.

This morning, DC made a news blurb specifically to promote the release date, so...

@fables87: I liked Wonder Woman quite a bit. And Under the Red Hood, Year One and DKR were some of my favorites in this line. But Flashpoint wasn't my bag. I'm glad some people enjoyed it but it wasn't up to par with the rest of the line animation or story wise. This looks like its in the same vein as Flashpoint Paradox. I'll give it a look but I'm not expecting much.

@longbowhunter: Wonder Woman is still my favorite. I just would like them to do movies that don't feature Batman or Superman for once. And the shorts don't count either. Like I'm glad they are thinking about doing Aquaman.

@fables87: Yeah in a perfect world we'd get a sequel to Wonder Woman and I'd finally see a feature length Green Arrow. With the success of Arrow I'm surprised they don't have one in the works.

i think so far ive only come to like Young Justices take on Captain Marvel(yeah yeah... Shazam) outside comics

Really wanted Aquaman for this.

@longbowhunter: WB Animation has come out and said it just dosen't make buisness sense at the moment to do non Batman or Superman solo animated features after Wonder Woman and both GL features tanked pretty bad. Which is a shame since WW is super solid if a bit under developed and GL:Emerald Knights is just an awesome anthology. Their current plan is to try and use JL films to feature and highlight individual members in the hopes they can spin them off.

@superior_prime_maybe: JLU has the best interpretation of Captain Marvel.That said, he should not be in this movie. GL would have added a nice new color to the box art in his place...

Woo I'm just missing The Dark Night Returns parts 1 and 2 so ill order those when I pick this up. Then I will have the full set on Blu Ray :)

Also, why include Shazam on the box when his addition is so controversial?

@captain13: Yeah.. that too. But his character and designs kinda just felt like superman. Or maybe because JLAU never put the amount of spot light i would wish he would get.

Same. I don't even see the big deal, anyone who read the arch knows AM hardly even did anything. I'd actually rather see MMH in this then AM or Cyborg, that's my preference though. Shazam makes no difference to me either way, he's edgier in the new 52 which I like.

The only grip I have is that judging by the trailer Darksied will be very very badass...until he starts to speak :/

I'll be picking this up day one. Flashpoint Paradox was great, and despite some criticism, I enjoyed the Justice League arc that this was based off of.

Cool. Thanks for letting us know back then! Believe it or not, we tend to be pretty busy as we're juggling various bits of news, features and more, so a heads up from the community is helpful every now and then. When we posted the trailer, it still just said early 2014. Regardless, this is still something many were unaware of. So, congrats on seeing in sooner, I suppose?
