THIS IS GOING TO BE AWESOME!!! I want to see some New 52 stories made into an animated movie. Like the Court of Owls, Death of the Family, Superman Unchained when the first story arc is finished, H'el on Earth, some of Geoff Johns stuff during his run on Green lantern, Villain's Journey, Throne of Atlantis, Trinity War, a new 52 JLA movie, JLD maybe...... I think I put to much into this.

@lvenger: Ain't that the darn truth Superman vs the Elite was a incredible anime DC did a great job the animation could have been done better but the story was great and the way they showed how powerful Superman really is and how he easily manipulated and defeated all his enemie's shows that not only is Superman incredibly powerful but he is extremely wise he was just too smart for the elite but that movie was badass.

But Darkseid hardly talks in this arc.

If they decided to copy/paste from the comics? absolutely. I have read these stories rather recently and there is nothing extraordinary about them,I see no reason to adapt them over vastly superior and more deserving arcs.

Yesterday I watched Flashpoint Paradox and it was really good. I wish Marvel would do animated movies. I would kill to see a good animated Deadpool movie. Or maybe Moon Knight? Oooh.

Agreed especially in regards to Johns' Justice League origin story. That was among the worst storylines in the New 52. And whilst the New 52 has its gems, it's a sad day when it gets animated adaptation priority over classics such as Crisis on Infinite Earths, Kingdom Come, Superman Birthright, Wally West's Flash run. Morrison's JLA run and anything from Morrison's Batman run and more of the rich history of the Pre Flashpoint universe.

It's all cool and whatnot but I realllly hope they don't cancel any ideas for older adaptations. We've yet to see some awesome stuff in animation like:

Blackest Night

Sinestro Corps War

Batman: Hush

Teen Titans Judas Contract

Identity Crisis

Crisis on Infinite Earths

Long Halloween

etc.

But if they wanna go with New 52 for a bit... I'll be more than happy to see a Throne of Atlantis adaptation :)

@martyyy15: right?!?! I mean, come on! He knows how to handle Hal, since he just wrote the definitive Hal story for 9 years! How can he botch this?! Its one of my main problems with JL and why I still think the book doesn't live up to the expectations. Then again, I have only read the first 12-13 issues, since I am a trade waiter, so for all I know things could be completely different right now. But as far as I have read, this Hal-Bruce dynamic really makes me a little bit angry.

Hal left the JL around the cheetah arc. It gets WAY better from throne of atlantis arc. I mean how hal was having issues with paradrons annoys me too, the guy battled in the sinestro corps war. He should not have gotten injured ( though maybe it was to make it so each JL member were sort of on equal grounds for story reasons). But its like Hal traded personalitys with the worst incarnation of guy gardner!! I'm glad he is off the team for now, I'd rather have a well written hal than a poorly done jerk version of my favorite character

@br_havoc: True, but their best movie was Batman Under the Red Hood (by a poll on this site)which was a terrible graphic novel to begin with, ie Superboy Prime's punch. So that just means all the more creativity they can go with this.

Nice to see DC Animated trying to be current to the times...but eh, I'd be happier if they were doing more classic pre-Flashpoint stories for animated releases now.

Maybe it's cause the story was dismal to begin with? there is absolutely no reason to adapt it.

Under the Red Hood arc was not terrible,it was actually very good. Whatever issues it had were because of Infinite Crisis, Didio/editorial wanted it to be tied to that story. UTRH had really good ideas overall(hated the depiction of the Joker though). Origins had zero merits, the plot was absolutely generic(alien invasion) lousy action(fighting useless parademons and a crappy Darkseid ), minimal character development(Darkseid had only a few words of dialogue),characters acting like retards and more.

@entropy_aegis: Of course there's a reason to adapt it. Whether people like it or not, the New 52 is here, this is how the JL was formed, if they are gonna make more movies based off the New 52, they have to start here.

@martyyy15: Oh, great! I will get the Throne of Atlantis HC in a few months, so I'm looking forward to that! I am also a big Hal fan, so I completely understand your frustration, even if the downputting of Bats made me even more angry.

I don't care, I had a laugh when I read "Who The Hell is Bruce Wayne???" So don't mind if it happens.

My fear is the batfanboys in the DC animation who gets hard-ons for batboy and makes every other superheroes like pretty background images, while batman shags some baddies (JLU). I'm talking about the likes of B.Timm.

To Bruce Timm and co, I say this, please keep your hardon in your pants and stop fking with source material. Thanks.

Alright. It was a superbly mediocre story, but filled with lots of spectacle and cool Aquaman moments. The DCAU spin team could make it better. Looking forward to the Batman and Son flick.
