Justice League: Cry For Justice #1...Oh Boy

This mini-series could go either way.  It could be really good or it could be a trainwreck.  And I'm talking in terms of the team.  The Justice League Of America has always stood for something.  The quesion that Hal brings up is a valid one.  Are they really accomplishing what they're supposed to be?  If they are standing for "Justice," what does that really mean?  The DC Universe has become a little darker over the past few years.  The happy gathering of heroes doesn't seem to be doing what it should.  Hal brings up good points about how they keep losing fellow heroes with each 'crisis.'  I'm sure we can bet that there'll be another one coming soon.  Should the Justice League do something to try to prevent more deaths?

On the other hand, if they do try to become more proactive in apprehending the 'bad guys,' where will they draw the line?  To what means will they be willing to go.  It's dangerous territory they'd be treading on.  Maxwell Lord already tried policing the entire world.  What will they do once they come face-to-face with the evil bad guys?

Issue one of Justice League: Cry For Justice is on sale July 1, 2009.  It's written by James Robinson with art by Mauro Cascioli.  Here's the preview from DC.  Do you think Hal has the right idea?
