Joe Hill's 'Locke & Key' to be collected in deluxe Hardcover

This was a really good series

I really enjoyed Lock & Key.  For those unaware, Joe Hill is the son of Stephen King.  It seems that the writing talent does in fact run in the family.  He has been writing for some time and never tried using his family name in order to sell his books.

What was the series about?

Locke & Key: Welcome to Lovecraft tells of the Locke family, who relocate after an unspeakable tragedy to Keyhouse, an unlikely New England mansion, with fantastic doors that transform all who dare to walk through them... and home to a hate-filled and relentless creature that will not rest until it forces open the most terrible door of them all...

It had elements of violence and suspense that was a refreshing change from today's mainstream comics.  The hardcover comes out on October 1st.  The art by Gabriel Rodriguez is pretty amazing too.  He has his own style that really worked in the series.  There is a second continuing series due out in January entitled "Head Games."

I recommend checking this series out.
