It seems to me that Johns is going to be on this title for a long time, whatwith rumors that there's going to be an arc about Orm, Nereus, and the seven kingdoms of Atlantis, and also that Hal is going to rejoin the team. It seems like the current storyline is far from over so I'm assuming that will wrap up before any of the others.

Let's not debate whether or not Johns' JL is "good." But I think we can all agree that it pales in comparison to many of his past works..

Pretty sure mainstream comics as a medium is renowned for having a status quo. You really haven't heard someone say something like "this change won't last very long, soon enough they'll restore the status quo" Examples: Superman and Spider Man get de-married, Bruce Wayne becomes Batman again, Steve Rogers becomes Captain America again, Peter Parker gets control of his body again, Clint Barton stops being Ronin and becomes Hawkeye again. And I can go for hours.
Anyway, I was talking about the "current" or "temporary" status of the JL lineup. Which is bound to be reversed within a couple of years, mind you. But my point that this roster has existed for months is no less true regardless of semantics.

@mightus: agreed! They've made changes from the PC era, but they've created fantastic stories that have made the characters interesting.

You've got to give them credit; the way that they've turned the N52 around is amazing. You used to only be able to read one Superman book, now you want to read all of them.

I am really digging this art for JL. New 52 is definetlyy proving that they have changed things up in a really interesting way. Just look at this new JL team! Who would've imagine Luther and captain cold? Also a female replacement for GL is a great idea cause the team is really lacking more female heroes.

NICE!!! I like the idea of taking Luthor in a different direction. I actually want him to be a cross between Stark and Fury. He'd be on the League, but have his hands in Suicide Squad missions with Waller, and would run Checkmate. He'd be the Batman, back up.

@superguy1591: Mogo is a living planet and a member of the GL Corps. She been serving as the mobile base for the GL Corps ever since Mogo was destroyed.

@squalleon: No cross overs for the Superman book, remember? He's Azz'ing Superman for a long time to tell his story. All cross overs come from Pak's Action and Tomasi's SM/WW.

You're right about one thing. Jaime Reyes was supposedly sent back to Earth in the final issue of Threshold. Though as far as I know, he hasn't appeared since.

But the other guy is right about Hawkgirl. The only character called Hawkgirl in the New 52 is the Earth 2 one. On that Earth, there is no Hawkman, and on Earth 0 there is no Hawkgirl. There was a character called Ladyhawk briefly in the Savage Hawkman series who was Shayera Thal, a name that once belonged to Hawkgirl pre-Crisis. She later sacrificed her life. But there is no Earth 0 Hawkgirl in the New 52.

As long as Johns keeps writing I don't care who does the art.
