Is Marvel Spoiling Their Stories?

What's going on here? Yes, there are Siege spoilers in here.

Recently, there was a book that came out called "Captain America: Reborn" in which Steve Rogers came back from the dead. Five out of the six issues had come out, and a week or so before the sixth issue came out, essentially revealing how Steve came back, he was popping up in a slew of Marvel books. We all knew he was going to come back, but it left some readers confused. Marvel apologized for what happened because of what seemed to be a shipping error, but things have been spoiled again.

Last week, Siege 4 came out. It was final chapter in the Siege mini-series that left the reader with some shocking events within the book. Another new issue also came out last week, the epilogue to Siege called "The Sentry: Fallen Son." As you can see on the cover, Sentry is dead. So, the death of Sentry is ruined the second you see the cover or even the title of this book. To me, his death was a big thing in the last issue of Siege and something that shouldn't have been spoiled for a reader, especially if they're just walking around the comic book store, picking up books. When you go to the comic book store, the last thing you want to see is the death of a major character on the cover of the book. Shouldn't that be a surprise as you flip the pages?

What could have happened here? Could this have been a shipping error again or was this intentional? And by intentional, do they just not care? This would have made complete sense to come out a week or two later, but the same day is baffling. Maybe it comes down to the fact that there is so much death in comics, in the past decade, that it's just not shocking anymore. We know the characters will eventually be brought back. Heck, if they can bring back Doug Ramsey, they'll bring back Sentry. I didn't think this book, Siege, was delayed at all, and that would be the easiest explanation for this. It just doesn't make sense to me.

What do you think could have happened? Did the cover spoil the story for you?
