Will be easy to do since Smallville used super speed all the time. It's apparently an easy power to do. And Barry's job would lend to a procedural starring someone like Scott Porter. But the speed effects on Smallville were not that great, Barry is bland, and there will be questions about whether or not the Barry on the show will be the one in the movie.

I'm going to reserve judgment but I doubt this will be a show as good as the ones on hbo, fx, or AMC. We are talking about the CW here, guys. On Arrow and Smallville, most of the acting is wooden and the sets look cheap. Damn my high standards!

Arrow is an awesome show, but it's not where Flash should be put. He needs a big time budget and effects to portray him properly. He should be in a movie.

May not be anymore since Black Canary will be in season 2.

I'd also prefer a live action movie. There's a lot of mystery going on around Oliver and his family that makes it a perfect background story for the TV series. I don't see how the Flash could possible work as TV series unless there isn't a greater plot spanning over the entire season but then it would be boring in the first place. Maybe I'm lacking imagination here. A movie would be awesome though!

They could simply remove the Cry. Dinah is a capable martial artist without it, and she didn't have it for years at one point and still fought crime using sonic bombs in place of it.

@justthatkid: I think Man of Steel shows that superspeed can work without annoying amounts of bullet time. Not once in the whole movie was Slowmo used.

I will give it a watch. The old Flash show in the late 80's was not bad you know Mark Hamel as the Trickster.

Praise the heavens! Please, please, PLEASE make this happen! The Flash deserves this so much! He's so underrated and underestimated, everyone should know how awesome he is! Though... it's going to be more Barry... not sure how I feel about that... Still, it's The Flash, and that's great!

I would love to see this and if they go through with it I hope it is a success!

Ive been thinking how they could bring the rogues to live action and i imagine theyd b small time crooks who form a kinda paramilitary unit relying on their numbers an unconventional weapons to catch the flash off guard

sounds good to me i remember the old flash show i would prefer a movie only coz i like the flash would want to see him on the big screen but 10 or 20 eps of a flash show :)

ehhh not a fan of live-action superhero tv shows. I'm fine with the ones that don't have powers: Arrow. But for someone like Flash, live action tv shows don't really impress me (Smallville). I would love a live-action movie and an animated tv show though!

Barry isn't bland. Just because he isn't JLU Wally doesn't mean he can't be interesting. All the Flashes are light-hearted characters with senses of humor.

You have a good thing with Arrow CW, why are you risking blowing it up?

Flash needs a movie, not a live action show where the CGI is going to look spotty at best.

I don't want supers in Arrow. If this is just to introduce him and then he goes away when he gets his powers that's fine.

To the overall idea of Flash getting a CW show:

Flash needs an animated TV show and a live action movie. He's the easiest to bring to the big screen.

God I hate WB so much right now. Marvel is getting Hawkeye, Quicksilver, Antman, and Thanos on the big screen before we can get Green Arrow, Flash, Atom, and Darkseid.

If Geoff is really on writing staff and oversees the series plot, I will have much more hope of it turning out right.

Only thing that really scares me is the frikking CW casting.

It could be that Dr. Barry Allen is just a regular recurring character but then when the lightning strike he disappear from "Arrow" to spin off into the "Flash"

This might make me watch Arrow again.
