Is Clive Owen...Kraven The Hunter?

Spider-Man: Origin of the Hunter.  There’s a new scent on the Spidey reboot rumor trail, although it doesn’t smell too fresh.  You might know Clive Owen as KING ARTHUR or Dwight from SIN CITY (he’ll always be THE DRIVER to me), but there’s a chance  - - just a itty-bitty chance - - that you could come to know him as cuckoo-crazy Russian big game hunter, Sergei Kravenoff, A.K.A. Kraven the Hunter.  The chance is itty-bitty because  you’re finding this out about soon as he has.  

There seems to be a bit of this kind of thing going around lately.  Kate Mara insists that, despite what the IMDB has listed, she ISN’T Bethany Cabe in IRON MAN 2.  Sam Jackson has no idea what he’s doing in the THOR movie yet.  And Owen didn’t hear he was rumored to be Kraven until The Coventry Telegraph asked him about it. 

If the guy who made me associate driving a BMW with kicking ass lands the part, it’s pretty much a given that he’ll be getting a big old heaps of enthusiasm from Smilin’ Stan.  Mr. Lee voiced his approval for the Marc Webb reboot during a recent interview with ACCESS HOLLYWOOD to promote his upcoming guest spot on THE BIG BANG THEORY.  Apparently he’s going to be meeting the cast of the “nerd culture” sitcom in a comic store, of all places.
 
Stan also let it slip that his cameo in IRON MAN 2 will have him riffing on Larry King, following his turn as Hugh Hefner in movie #1.  I find that amusing, given Lee’s notably awkward interview on LARRY KING a couple years back where he was asked painfully-unprepared questions about how he created PLASTIC MAN.
