We're just starting to see the Marvel movies mesh together and already we have to think about continuity. We know that Robert Downey Jr showed up in The Incredible Hulk as Tony Stark talking to Thunderbolt Ross. The question came up as where does Iron Man 2 take place in relation to Incredible Hulk and Jon Favreau answered via his Twitter account.
It seemed likely that the scene in the bar with Ross happened after the first Iron Man movie and before the second, but apparently that's not the case. It should be interesting to see if there's any reference or acknowledgement in Iron Man 2 to the Hulk. Will Tony Stark hear a news report at the end of the movie and seek out Ross? Kevin Feige has stated that Hulk will be in the Avengers movie. It sounded as if Hulk would be a member of the team but we'll have to wait and see how this all plays out.
