Incredible Hulk #601 REVIEWED

Incredible Hulk is back even though Hulk is gone...

Let's say "welcome back" to the Incredible Hulk.  Despite Red Hulk draining Banner of the Hulk, the Incredible title is back.  I'm really hoping that Marvel will now stay with these original numberings instead of canceling titles and bringing them back with a new number 1.  If Hulk is gone, how can we have an Incredible Hulk title?  We had some discussion about whether or not Hulk is really gone HERE.  With the upcoming World War Hulks story, I'm sure it will just be a matter of time until his return.
 

  
We see all the smart dudes (except Banner) are pretty certain that Hulk is gone.  Could this really be the case?  Should this title just be renamed to "The Incredible Banner"?  Do you think Banner and Skaar will get along?  Since we saw a bunch of the smartest dudes in the Marvel universe, what do you think the ranking is?  Who is the smartest?  Do you like the Savage She-Hulk?  Do you think her stories should be told here?

Amadeus Cho and Hank Pym did say they were in the top eight in an issue of Mighty Avengers.
 
I like Savage She-Hulk quite a bit.  I don't like Skaar.

Overall I didn't think the issue was too bad. It is aggravating that Beast was there when Osborne has him locked up in continuity. (Possible spoiler >>>>> ) by this point Beast may not even have hair....
 
I also agree with you G-man about the Heroes and their offspring... enough already. Although, I can't wait for the Bronze Boogie Border.

I could get over the whole father/son fighting, but it's always for no good cause. It's always some petty misunderstanding. Lets see one more often that's for a good reason.
At least harry Osborn has a reasonable cause to hate his father. Not only did Norman set Harry up to die, but he also knocked up his girlfriend. Only problem is Harry's always been too weak to really go all the way.

Savage She-Hulk... Couldn't care less...
 
However, the story of Bruce not being the Hulk and teaming up with Skarr (who I could care less about) is a story I really enjoyed. The shared feelings that Skaar and Bruce have for the Hulk and the conversation between them is great. What can I say? I like good dialogue and character development. I'm sick of fighting and giant battles, give me something more. This book is doing for me.
 
Plus, I love Olivetti's work. He is one of three or so artists that will make me read a book, regardless of content.

I wish I could pick up a monthly of her stories without Incredible Hulk....no offense. I just wish they would officially give her another name other than She-Hulk......oh well

I agree with G-man I just want bruce to be hulk,no all these crap son, and savage she hulk,I like the red hulk,but enought let's bring the classics back,joe Q.

As I asked awhile ago in a blog I posted, "Who Do You Think Is The Biggest Douchebag?", Reed Richards' name kept popping up.  He demonstrates that from all appearances.   
 
You mentioned before about all the Hulk "offspring" or whatever they are, and I'm not feeling any of these characters at all.  Just give me Ol' Jade Jaws.  
 
I am looking forward to the World War Hulks even if it will involve Skaar, etc.   Hopefully it will be good.

I really enjoyed the story, umm since when was banner in the top 8th smartest people in the world club,Don't get me wrong yeah he's a genius butttt He got uber brilliant all of the sudden and with about a million gadgets

It seems like a really interesting story. Reed is becoming an ass. I get why he would want other around in case, but he could of been more subtle about it. 
The idea of World War HulkS does seem pretty intriguing. I am interested to see how that would influence the other heroes and Dark Reign as a whole. All that power in one place would cause one major battlefield.
