Image Announces MIND THE GAP by Jim McCann

What happens when someone wants to kill you but you have no recollection as to why?

Image is continuing to amp up their creator owned series. For years we've had a lot of great series come from the publisher but more and more, some of the 'big names' are looking at Image as a venue to release their own projects.

Jim McCann, who won an Eisner for RETURN OF THE DAPPER MEN, is ready to unleash MIND THE GAP. The new series debuts on May 2 and is a mystery with a paranormal twist.

MIND THE GAP focuses on Elle Peterssen. She is young, wealthy and beautiful but someone has tried to kill her. The problem is, she doesn't remember any of that. It turns out that Elle is in spirit form, detached from her comatose body and now has to unravel the mystery of her attacker's identity.

Jim McCann said the following:

I love the genre of the 'whodunit.' Psychological thrillers, murder mysteries, and film noir all influence me, and this story, heavily. It’s a preternatural story — something science acknowledges on the fringe but hasn’t proven yet.

This story will take on some otherworldly scenes, which the team handles beautifully, as well as some very real and gritty situations, sometimes even violent. I wanted that to look as realistic as possible, and juxtapose it with the clean, beautiful atmosphere Rodin and Sonia deliver.

The art will be by MORNING GLORIES cover artist Rodin Esquejo and colors by Sonia Oback. Issue #1 will be a full-color 48-page comic for $2.99. It will be available in comic stores and digital platforms on May 2.
