Hugh Jackman Reveals More About The Wolverine

...I thought it was a prequel.

Whatever, as long as the film is good. I have medium hopes. It doesn't help that Silver Samurai is a lame villain, IMO.

as long as it doesnt latch on x3 too much, it will be a good movie.

I was hoping it was mostly stand-alone but I guess you have to tie it together if you keep using Jackman

if for some reason they decided to stick to continuity .... I am guessing Jean or Rogue. and I say Rogue , because they had that special bond in the first movie and in the comics for awhile. Even more so now that Anna Paquin is all grown up and sexy!

I'm extremely hopeful that between days of future past and this they'll fix a lot of the continuity problems in the X-Men movies, I've a feeling I'm hoping for too much though :/

I just hope it doesn't bring up X3 too much, leave it as more as a stand alone for the most part

I still think this movie might be alright though.

I think Wolverine 2 is suppose to be a set up for X-Men 4.

Question: Why is wolverine holding a sword that's know where near as sharp as his claws?

This smacks of Silver Samurai in ways that it is not even funny. And I'll only accept Jean as a cameo in this if it is a memory with her and Logan, otherwise no.

I hate what Fox has done to the X Men... Dating back to the 90's! That cartoon was atrocious, and any movie not done by Bryan Singer has been shiite as well. Murimasa blade? The only thing on Earth that negates Wolvie's healing factor, most recently used by Daken & Gorgon... Do any of you read these books that you're so adamant about critiquing? Or are you fans created by that stupid cartoon? Ask yourselves if First Class was as good as you claim, or was it just better than X3?

The cartoon was great, they made adaptations necessary to make it interesting/better for tv, and for kids.

And stop stating little facts about comic stories, and trying to be all authoritative on comics, 'Most recently used by Daken or Gargon' that's a pretty well known fact by readers. Also, it doesn't matter at all, so why state it other than trying to sound so familiar and knowledgeable to the comics? Stop.

And it doesn't state whether or not the thing that will hurt Logan is physical or mental/emotional, so we dont' even know if the murimasa blade is even what they're talking about.

@King of the Vines: Their isn't a better actor to play Wolverine no one has the look to pull him off but Jackman I think. Bet their is people who will agree also with that statement.

@fallen_sin: i agree Rogue and Logan were very close in the films as friends and to me there was a somewhat romantic possabillity there to if you really payatension. i just can"t picture Logan leaving Rogue though i hope they either mention her or somehow get Anna involved.

i hope it's shadowcat, so we can see her become a ninja bada** when Ogun brainwash's her.

Sorry for this comment, but if no one else says it I will.... Yes, Mr. Hugh Jackman's sword, more closely the hilt of the sword looks like a penis. Wolverine's hilt on his sword is a dildo!!! There, I said it first. Now look at it very close and when you relize it, spred the word!!! Damn Disney lovers!!!

@King of the Vines I was hoping it would be a stand alone too. Since X3 and Origin were so damn bad, but its hard not to tie them in when the same person is playing Wolverine. Can't do it unless you cast someone else, not a fan of that idea. Hugh Jackman is an awesome Wolverine, despite the fact that he is like foot taller than the comic character is.

Honestly, I can't make myself give a crap about this movie...

ive been wondering....what if its daken as the villain? i mean we saw the iron patriot, a new dardevil id being roumered, so we might have bullseye, venom is getting a movie, and avengers 2 is coming, and hasent revealed teh villain...could they be setting up a dark avengers saga?

I was mostly excited about this movie because it was supposed to be a stand alone. That it's following X3 is -- irritating. The only way I can reason this away is to hope its to fix what X3 did.

Nah. There is no way. Having Logan pine after Jean? It was one of the worst aspects of that film. Plus what happened to Cyclops? Its just...ugh.

Japan means NO Jean -- NO X-Men.

Half my enthusiasm is gone.

It would be nice to bring forward Itsu and the Muramasa Blade etc --- but then there is Silver Samurai -- Mariko must be in it? That would be great because he can stop moping after Jean.

Wait a minute what? How is taking place after X-3 when based off some early shots, it takes place in a post World War 2 Japanese prison camp? Working the flashbacks or are they merely messing with us now? Regardless, I am still watching this.

It could be the muramasa blade. I think thats how you spell it. Its the only blade that can hurt wolverine apparently. Maybe thats the secret weapon the villain has that can hurt him

I am very exciting about The Wolverine! I am expecting it to be much better than previous movie, though. And as for X-Men: The Last Stand, seriously, NO BODY wants to hear this terrible movie! Ugh. I hate this movie.

I would have preferred this film to be a prequel to the X-Men films. Now that it's getting bogged down in X-Men lore, that won't be good for it at all. I'd rather it show some continuity with X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Every movie should have Wolverine dealing with some kind of heartbreak... That's what makes him so tough; he keps losing the women he loves and it has made him lose his humanity in return, Mariko & Yukio maybe with a tie in to Wolverine & Shadowcat as a framing device? He's showing her the ropes and starts to dig deeper into his history? That I'd love to see!

I don't suppose they'd have Famke Janssen play . . . . Madeline Pryor? Just a thought.

Before the death of Charles Xavier in the film X-Men 3, there's a sean where Xavier and Logan are talking about finding answers about his past. At one point during the conversation, Xavier refrenced Japan about unfinished business. After the small "war" that took place in X-Men 3 Logan desideds to head out to Japan. This is where Silver Samurai will enter the picture with the marauder sword (I think that's the name). Logan previously being in Japan during WWII, Logan beings to have flashbacks once he relizes who Silver Smurai truely is. Torn between his fragmented memmories of an uncertain future, the past war barren Logan meets the here and now Wolverine. What choice will he make? and where will he end up? The Good the Bad???

I just hope they keep to canon and actully start getting the story right in the xmen films,

I agree. X-men 3: Last Stand won't ever be my favorite X-men movie but at least fix the continuity and move on to do better.

Getting tired of reading poeple talk about "continuity".... It's a movie, and they will not fix the continuity. Movie makers strive to tell close but yet a different story that people haven't already read about. Yes it would be cool, but then again everyone would know the movie. They HAVE TOO change it up and keep it evolving for movie buff's sakes.... But to agree with ya'll the X movies did kinda suck balls! First Class was way better all around then X 1,2,3. They should have done the Wolverine movies in the same style as Watchmen.
