It was man! Plus it had the first comic book appearance of Kiss. But I really love Gen Colan's art- the man was a master, he truly "painted with a pencil". One of my favorite artists of all time. Everything he did- Cap, DD, Tomb of Dracula, Dr. Strange, Iron Man, & Howard- was great. Hard to believe he's gone- & Gerber too for that matter. They were two of the all-time comic greats.

@strangetales: Well, he is not in "Original Sin" but he appears in "Original SinS", that is another mini-series, a collection of very short tie-in with the main story, small secret revealed, and someone had already posted here the two page story about Howard, in this post! Look above :)

Lol awesome!

Yeah I was wondering about that. I've seen some covers that were labeled ordinal sin and sins. Thanks for that clarification. I think I may pick those up when I get a chance

The meme is even funnier now; DC not being able to get Wonder Woman off the ground when Marvel have had a talking Tree, Raccoon and Duck all in the same movie, crazy.

Well, in recent years, Howard is appeared in Marvel Zombies 5, working alongside Machine Man and Swift Cloud for A.R.M.O.R. [and using "Rocket Racoon Style Guns"], so we can ad: Experience in Dimensional Travel, Expert with Heavy Weapon, and S.H.I.E.L.D. training and gadget

Last, in the last number of Original SinS [some week ago], it's show that he is the most intelligent person on his planet and one of the highest mind in the Universe! [Really, neither me or Howard itself think that this is true, but the Eye of the Watcher showed that!]

Here we go. Someone who know more about the character. Really he's in original sins? Cool stuff. I've been wanting to read that and that's one more reason for me to

Yeah, it seems Marvel is trying to push the character more for whatever reason. Honestly I wouldn't mind Howard appearing in future Marvel movies, but only if it were in a "where's Waldo?" kind of theme similar to Stan Lee's cameo, but not as obvious and something fans have to actively look. Marvel could make into a weird easter egg hunt for their more extreme Marvel fans, placing Howard within their movies to be found for fun, yet without it actually interfering with the movies themselves.

Well that was a different time and age back then. Believe it or not after seeing Guardians of the Galaxy I think Marvel can pull it off.

Nobody cares about Howard the Duck, I don't see how a movie about him could be pulled off.

The funny thing is everyone else said the same thing your saying right now about Guardians of the Galaxy. And Marvel pulled that off to perfection, like I said if they can get audiences to care about a raccoon and a talking tree they call pull off Howard. Guardians of the Galaxy proved anything no matter how unknown can succeed as long as it has great acting, characters, writing, and as long as it's marketed right.

No, it didn't. The characters in Guardians of the Galaxy had a following (a relatively small following, but a following nonetheless. Howard the Duck's fanbase is practically nonexistant.

But I was talking about the mainstream audience, since that's were most of the money comes from. In the mainstream eye their both non-existing. If Marvel can get people to turn out for Guardians, it shouldn't be much of a stretch to do the same to Howard. Howard's fanbase is about the same as Guardians before the movies and the push. As in only hardcore fans knew about him like the Guardians. Howard does have a fanbase.

Sure he does.

He does, you'd be surprised how many people quote "Quack-Fu"

According to James Gunn, he said that the appearance by Howard the Duck at the end credits was simply just for fun. Maybe he will be in sequels of Guardians of the Galaxy and could possibly be featured more, but I don't think he will play a major role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Probably. I'd love to see him make a few more cameos, but him getting another movie is probably out of the question.
