Could this be Howard Stark?There's been a lot of crazy Batman 3 rumors that have hit this past week. I've avoided reporting some since they just seem so far off. Latino Review has reported that the role of Howard Stark is being recast:
Tim Robbins is going to be playing Howard Stark in an important flashback sequence that is going to set up the Avengers and Captain America films. Jon [Favreau] wanted to get a good actor because he didn't think the guy who played Howard in the last film could carry such an important scene.
This could make sense. There's already been some rumblings about Captain America in "Incredible Hulk." Too bad for Gerard Sanders, who played Howard in the first movie.
Nothing's been confirmed yet.
Will they be appearing as well?Perhaps we'll see this scene?They also had some other rumors. Seems there could be a chance that Hawkeye and Black Widow could be in the movie as well. I seem to recall a call sheet for acting roles that had a female character that sounded like her. I'd absolutley love to see Hawkeye on the screen.
Wonder if they'd try to go with a big name for Hawkeye. A bigger name would mean adding to the budget and maybe a big ego to go along with the actor. If he is going to be in it, I want it done right. I don't want to see something like the Psylocke cameo in (ugh) X-3.

LOL..there were alot of Cameos in X-3..too bad there was only like 6 X-men at the end.
If anything it will be Clint Barton making an appearance at the circus or something because i don't think they would introduce Hawkeye this early with no origins or introduction to the general audience so it will probably be him training the circus & if Black Widow appears it will probably be her justing starting out as out Black Widow

I hope it's a big name. Hawkeye could easily carry his own film, they may be able to parlay a small scene in Iron Man into something bigger down the line.
As long as it's a big name that can act the role and is willing to come back to the role. A lot of the big stars have a wanting to be a superhero these days but that doesn't mean they'd necessarily be good for the role. Also with a bigger star, they have a busier schedule and may not be able to commit to doing spin-offs or sequels. But I agree it should be someone good that can act.
What I heard was that they're not going to be making Iron Man 2 until they make The Avengers movie. Also, if they are making a 2nd one, War Machine won't be in until the 3rd one...if there is going to be a 3rd one xD.
