The Fantastic Four has never been your typical team of superheroes. While always there to fight the supervillains of the world, they've been a family first. They're a family of adventurers. With the births of Franklin and Valeria Richards, that feeling of family continued to grow.
After a battle with the Wizard, Reed soon decided to try to make a bigger difference. Reed's idea was to "solve everything." To do this, he needed some help. Who else could help him but Reed Richards...a bunch of them...from different dimensions. The Council of Reeds had good intentions but this actually opened the door to a series of events that would lead to the end of the Fantastic Four.
Through a series of other events, one of the evil Reeds met with the Anti-Priest (who served Annihilus). When they made their move to try to bring the Annihilation Wave from the Negative Zone into the Positive Zone, that's where Johnny Storm made his sacrifice that lead to his death and the end of the Fantastic Four.
With FANTASTIC FOUR #600 here, there are some big changes happening. Be sure to check out the issue in order to avoid the massive spoilers contained.
== TEASER ==New York City is under a surprise attack by the Kree. With this attack, Anti-Priest is concerned and contacts Annihilus. The solution is to press their own attack and to access the portal at the Baxter Building.
The situation was bad and it's about to get worse. If the Annihilation Wave comes over, obviously it will mean a lot of death. There's also the fact that while the Future Foundation (adults) and the Avengers are fighting the Kree, the kids are at the building. What are the chances of there not being any casualties there?
We know the last time there was a battle at the portal, there was a big casualty. In a moment that everyone will be talking about (and maybe already is talking about). The entire direction of the Future Foundation and Fantastic Four will change.
What is this big event? It's a revelation that some may have seen coming and others might have been dreading. (This is your final warning about spoilers...)
What will be the fallout over this? This isn't something the members of the Future Foundation would expect. Does this mean it's time to stop mourning over Johnny and bring back the Fantastic Four? (We do have the series back after all). Characters such as Reed and Ben will once again place the blame on themselves over not doing more.
That isn't all that is coming. Some days before the Kree attack, Reed and Sue had to pay Galactus a visit. Having to pay him a visit can't ever be good.
Galactus is aware of some big changes coming. He tells Reed that the world is going to be broken. He tells them about the bad things that would result from Earth being destroyed. This continues to link back to the future Galactus that was destroyed as well as some events going on in the pages of THE MIGHTY THOR.
If Reed has to use what Galactus gave him, the Marvel Universe better hope it works.
The final question is what happens to FANTASTIC FOUR # 589-599? Issues 1-11 of FF were meant to take the place (which lead up to issue #600) but with FF continuing into issue #12, the argument could be made that something is missing. Issue #600 and FF #1-11 do tell us everything that has happened in between but my gut tells me there's something more going on.
