"Hero Up!" With The Super Hero Squad Show Premiere Saturday

If you missed the sneak preview last Monday, you can catch the premiere Saturday, September 19!

Are you ready to 'Hero Up'?  Marvel's next cartoon event has arrived on Cartoon Network.  Last Monday two episodes were aired as a sneak peak.  The show officially premieres Saturday, September 19, 2009 on Cartoon Network at 8:30 a.m.  This is your chance to experience the adventures of Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Wolverine, Thor, Silver Surfer and pretty much every other Marvel Hero.  Their mission is to search for pieces of the powerful Infinity Sword.  It remains to be seen if they can succeed before Doctor Doom and his nefarious allies find the pieces first.
As you're probably aware, this show is clearly an all ages show.  I've seen that some people are turned off by this fact.  The show might not be geared towards you specifically but it is worth checking out.  The show is very ambitious with its incredible list of characters and voice actors attached to the show.  While some of us might crave for a darker grittier show, we still need something for the kids.  Imagine how many poor children are out there that might be unaware how cool these characters are.  This could be their gateway into the world of comics.
Early reviews are out.  Check out what is being said:

“Wherever viewers happen to catch the show, they’ll be rewarded for their time, given Marvel Entertainment’s goal of pleasing every demographic possible. From quick wits and fart jokes to sizzling action and some subtle phantasmagoria, The Super Hero Squad Show works on enough levels to bring families together.”—Scot Thill, Wired.Com
"Super Hero Squad shows us a side of the Marvel Universe we haven't seen before - one that's side-splittingly funny! Modok and Hulk are TV's newest breakout stars!"—Michael Avila, Newsarama.Com
“The Super Hero Squad Show provides a great introduction to the Marvel Universe for a new generation of fans.”—Tony Guerrero, ComicVine.Com

Check out the show tomorrow morning.  You'll be surprised at some of the voice actors that have been lined up for some of the roles.  For more information, check out  Here's some more pics to get an idea what to expect.

Any of you catch the "Sneak Peak" the other day? Is this really as good as those reviews point-out, because Marvel's LAST kiddie-venture, "Next Avengers", was complete garbage. I'm really, really curious about this one though...

All I needed to hear was Dr. Doom ordering Abomination to open a window to know this show will be gold.

I don't think I'm going to watch this on CartoonNetwork. I haven't watched the network in months. Not after the way they treated the anime shows.
When they aired Code Geass it was all fine, but at about episode nineteen they moved it from midnight to 5AM. It wasn't even through the first season. That was the last straw for me. I haven't watched the channel since.
Normally, Marvel shows their cartoon series off their website. If I watch it anywhere it will be from there.

the huge list of voiced characters is big enough to peak my interest.

I'm watching it now. I just love it a whole lot more than Batman: The Brave and the Bold.

Hope it does well, why not make a cartoon of Marvel's super heroes and villains for the kids?  I think its a great idea and I've not even seen it but I think it could be fun for all involved.

We don't need something this kiddie. I grew up on Batman: The Animated Series and I turned out fine. That show was dark, awesome, well written, and it aged well. Good shows are ones you watch as a kid and then come back to them later as an adult and they're better than you remember them to be. Not this junk.
