Megan Fox as Buffy...no.  The role needs to be played by someone who looks good and can actually bring some emotion to the character.  I hate that Whedon may not be involved, but maybe the studio can get a decent actress to play the part.

I wish she just get a role, it seems shes has more rumors about parts than actual roles.  She was okay in Transformers, but other than that I've only seen her in one other movie.  Would she be a good Buffy? Not sure, I've never really gotten into the character/series.  Will she stop getting attached to comic book character rumors? Not sure, but I read she was being considered for the role of Rainmaker in the Gen 13 movie.

She would be a horrible pick for buffy, anyone would be other than sarah michelle gellar.

Unless Joss Whedon is leading this movie, I will boycott it to no end. It would be a damn shame to see this movie made honestly. Let the amazing legacy alone... or at least in Joss Whedon's hands.

Maybe its a clever ploy. Get her in EVERY rumour mill available then when she finaly does get a part in a comic book film nobody will beleve it. Then BAM! she's in a kick ass comic book film and back in the rumour mill lol

And the thing with movies with large "nerd followings" is that they don't have to rely heavily on trolls like Megan Fox for the movie to be successful, so why not cast someone that can... act?

Yea Rebooting buffy would be like redoing the godfather or titanic (yea I'm exaggerating just a little). But any sequel would be crap. And doing it without Joss Whedon would just be sad. Megan Fox isn't even a good actress!!! She's only good for playing slutty girls. No offense to her but when have you seen her in deep roles? Besides I don't think Joss Whedon or anyone who worked on buffy would allow them to remake it.

I never liked SMG as Buffy... She was too angular.. And Megan Fox looks more like a vampire..

Really not.  The whole point of the conception of Buffy being small and blonde was to contrast what happens to these characters in horror movies when they're usually killed first.  Also, anyone seen the poster rip off for "Jennifer's Body" where Fox plays a demon/cannibal?  She does look like one and less like a feisty kick ass girl.

well some reboots are ok like changing nick furys appearance into samuel L jacksons likeness was an example that really worked but i doubt megan fox's portrayl will be very good

It's an amusing unsubstantiated rumor and all, but I wouldn't even care if this did happen. A re-launch of Buffy is unnecessary, and would undoubtedly be trash. Better to waste Megan Fox's time than an actress with more talent. Plus, having Megan Fox in the movie would be better for box office sales than all the hardcore Buffy fans who would take exception to this anyway.

na I really don't think that megan will be picked to play buffy. Alot of these rumors about her being in every film that involves the comic industry in one way or another is just a ploy to get more people into wanting to see the film. There will be a big push and demand to get the film made with someone like Megan but then they will come out with someone completely different. On a side note that fits the topic, I still believe whole heartedly that megan will more than likely be the first choice for any film that is the brain child of Michael Turner or one that Turner had a hand in, i.e. Fathom, Witchblade, etc.
