According to the official character synopsis, Ronan in this film is a Kree warrior, religious extremist, and leader of the Kree army who is at war with the Nova Corps planet. He makes a deal with Thanos that if he brings him the object that Starlord stole from Korath (The infinity stone) than Thanos will grant him the power to end his war and wipe out the Nova Corps once and for all.

I am massively hyped for the film & finally seeing Ronan was awesome .

@the_stegman: I'm pretty sure they're combating Ronan in this first entry after Starlord stole something from him.

I enjoyed the trailer and I'm glad they're keeping Knowhere as a celestial head.

Guardians of the Galaxy should be the character of the month for June, July, or August

@jonny_anonymous: honestly that's the second time i have seen a comment about this Celestial head of knowhere. I just looked it up and man! it is some far out stuff. can't wait to see it. i can see why most of you fans a re excited.

They definitely nailed the tone of the comic book series.

Eh, still, it takes away from all of the gravity (no pun intended) of the situation having jokes on top of cheesy music, I mean, who are they even fighting?? What's the threat? Regardless, guess I'll just have to wait and see, could be great. But so far, it's my least anticipated Marvel flick.

Awesome trailer. Movie basically feels like the opposite of the Avengers movie, misfits form a team and try and be heroes. Love John C. Reily's line "this might not be the best idea."

I'm preordering the ticket. I don't need anymore convincing. I never thought Guardians of the Galaxy would hit a mainstream audience and if this succeeds, this is a major win for Marvel.
