Holy crap that blew me away!

They did a damn good job making that trailer. The 2001-esque music in the background fit perfectly with the drop!

Never thought I'd see ANY of that cast in a Godzilla movie! I thought Monsters was a giant bore, so hopefully this ends up being better!

I'm most excited for this this than all the other comicbook movies. GODZILAAAAAAa

I got chills thinking of what it would be like to actually be making that combat HALO jump and see an enormous monster there. I don't know how i'd react to this, but I get chills imagining seeing it and the destruction of a city laid to waste.

I can not wait for this.

Can not wait for this movie, looking forward to more info and a full shot of the Big G and the other monster. I pretty much fan girl squeeled when Godzilla was first shown and his growl at the end. Only 157 days away

I really hope the U.S military will be largely useless in this flick and the humans will be mostly spectators. Godzilla needs to be an unstoppable godlike force of nature completely immune to the weaponry of puny humans.

Why they didn't show the big ass monster Godzilla was facing down in the comic con footage? More people would be excited about this movie. Hope its featured in the next trailer.

is the music in the trailer the monolith theme from '2001: A Space odyssey' because it seems very similar.

I don't think they will use Mothra or Ghidorah in this movie, but I wouldn't be surprised if they are in the sequel! That would be awesome!

It's a distinctly different and new roar. The 1998 version roar took the classic roar and layered several other, far more bass-heavy elements underneath it. This new roar is clearly paying homage to the classic roar, of course.

The most recognizable feature is the ending of the roar: there is still the typical dip and then rise in pitch that pretty much defines the Godzilla roar, but the elements used to create this new version are far more organic and "natural" sounding, more like something you could expect a living animal to make rather than the super exotic and almost industrial machinery noises of the classic monster sounds in the series.

I'm ok with the new roar, though.

Yeah, I'm over-analyzing this, but Godzilla was a big part of my entertainment growing up and the sound design of the monsters is so iconic that it warrants attention.

Hopefully they go in the direction pacific rim went. All action. No romance. Hopefully they show the soilders point of view. And show how they strategize against the beast. Theirs nothing wrong with romance but I'm tired of the stupid main kissing scenes in monster flicks. I thought pacific rim nailed it. Not perfect but definitely one of the better monster movies released in awhile.

Finally a new film of the Godzilla I grew up on. This is on my to see list. Wonder how he'll look once we get a good view of him.

This is a Godzilla I can get behind. It has the feel of a bit of horror tossed into the giant lizard as it's form starts out obscured before a good look at it.

One of my childhood fears brought to life once more -- I was terrified watching this trailer and that's awesome!

The cinematography is phenomenal. Just gorgeous. I cannot wait for this film.

It's biggest problem was that the monster was not Godzilla. If you take it as it was, a pure popcorn flick, and forget that the name Godzilla had anything to do with it, it's entertaining enough.

Im sold. I want my ticket now. Cannot wait to take my son who is a huge GZ fan like me to see it now, especially if there is another Monster for GZ to fight.
