Ghost Rider versus Moon Knight in SHADOWLAND

Who's got more soul?

Who are you going to put your money on in fight between the Spirit of Vengeance and the Fist of Khonshu, huh? Who’s going to come out on top and bring home the “Soul of New York” belt, huh? Ghost Rider or Moon Knight?

We’ve got another promo for SHADOWLAND: BATTLE FOR THE SOUL OF NEW YORK to join the two others we ran recently. The storyline seems to pit Marvel’s heroes against eachother for the first time since CIVIL WAR. Or perhaps, as I speculated, this could be construed as a battle royale between the heroes and the anti-heroes. So far, we’ve seen Punisher against Spider-Man (with Puny playing dirty by taking a shot to Spidey’s crotch) and the Heroes for Hire, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, fighting against the deadliest Greek assassin, Elektra (and the heroes don’t have any qualms about their unfair, two-against-one handicap).

These promos haven’t been spilled too much about the mini-series, aside from letting it be known it will start in July, Andy Diggle will write and Philip Tan will draw it. Nobody actually found some spoiled scoops regarding the story. It’s got something to do with the heroes taking sides over Daredevil’s leading of the Hand, with a lot of action taking place around the Shadowland prison cum temple standing in the middle of Hell’s Kitchen.

By the way, am I too far off to suggest that “Battle for the Soul of New York” would also make a great title for a blues-themed battle of bands? Why should Ghosty and Moony sort out their differences with their chains and their boomerangs when they can settle it officially by seeing who’s got better skills on the sax?
