Is it time for more Spartans action?

It's been a while since we've heard any talk about a follow-up to Frank Miller's 300.  Actually the last I recall hearing anything was back in June.  There was mention that the movie was missing a year between Leonidas dying at the Hot Gates and Platea that could be explored in a sequel.

The LA Times, in an article dealing with all the recent "sword-and-sandal" movies mention that Frank Miller is still working on the follow-up, not called "Xerxes."  This story will take place about ten years before the events of 300.  Director Zack Snyder apparently is still interested.  Miller talks a little about the follow-up:

It’s the battle of Marathon through my lens. I’ve finished the plot and I’m getting started on the artwork. Every generation returns to ancient Greece because, well, the stories are so damn good. The fact and the myth are inseparable and, believe me, when you go sailing for a while in the Aegean Sea, you start believing in Poseidon.

Are you for more Frank Miller action?  What do you think of all these "sword-and-sandal" movies?  (Percy Jackson and Clash Of The Titans are coming soon).  Would you still be interested in a 300 follow-up if Zack Snyder isn't the director?
