First Trailer for 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' Video game

Spider-Man joins forces with... Kraven the Hunter?!

The first trailer has been released for Beenox's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game and it has a pretty interesting premise. Instead of appearing to have a firm link to plot in the upcoming movie (Electro is teased in the end, though!), the video game introduces Sergei Kravinoff aka Kraven the Hunter and focuses on him. The villain is known for viewing Spider-Man as the ultimate hunt, but there's a twist here. In the game, he apparently thinks the hero has the potential to become the ultimate hunter. It seems Sergei wants to help Spider-Man reach his full potential and find the man who killed Uncle Ben. Does Kraven really view the webhead as his apprentice or is he just building Pete up so he can offer the most challenging hunt yet? Guess we'll have to play the game to find out and see how else it connects to the movies. Check out the trailer below.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is scheduled to come out this spring. It'll be available for XBox One, Playstation 4, XBox 360, Playstation 3, Wii U, PC and 3DS. Is this game on your radar or does it look like something you'll rent or even skip?

See the thing about unlimited crimes and this "Hero or Menace" system is that sometimes I will just pop in the game to swing around, it seems that in this game if you don't stop crimes then the city will be infested in them. I really hope if you beat the game 100% then this system kinda shuts off, and the crimes will spawn every once in awhile like Ultimate Spider-Man. I don't want my city to be infested in crime, but I don't want to have to take out every criminal I come across if I'm bored and want to just swing around and fool around with the new mechanics.

So it's pretty much confirmed Kraven is only helping out the webhead and training him, not to be the ultimate hunter, but to be the ultimate hunt, right? He just see's the potential in Spidey to the most challenging prey ever, and wants to get him there before turning on him?

I think the music and Kraven VO made this trailer make the game seem epic. I wasn't a fan of the first game, or any other Spider-man games besides Shattered Dimensions, and Web of Shadows for about the first half.

Either way, will wait for more gameplay and I'll always be optimistic

If this is going to be a good superhero game it is going to need three things.

1. Has to have an extensive number of the heroes rogue gallery, while still being centered around a main plot.

2. Make you feel like you are the character.

3. Not have anything to do with the movie or at least be a little bit off,either before or after the movie.

I may be in the minority here but I wish they would beef up spidey a little. Give him a little bit bigger muscles and some more definition.
