It's the MVP clone. They are int Peter's Iron Spider costume but are called Scarlet Spider. I used both Iron and Scarlet in the name because they've been called both by fans and to differentiate him from Kaine.

I disagree with people. Ultimate Universe is a train wreck due to all the people that are famous in comic books being dead!

Osborn?

Doc Ock?

Wolverine?

Cyclopes?

Xavier?

Magneto?

Peter?

Gambit even!?

All these characters are stables of 616 comics, and their dead forever (as it stands) in Ultimate Marvel. Its BS. As kill happy they are in Ultimate Marvel, bring back the characters that mainstream people can connect with you dumb ****s! Know wonder ultimate Comics are tanking. Stupid sons of *****es!

While I do like Miles, I miss Peter, always had. He was a character I could connect with rather than reading crappy 616 Spider man comics full of retcons, or Spider Man tie ins with tons of other comics.

It was a reboot for me to grow up with and enjoy, but noooo, we have to kill Peter for shock value :/

Most of the Ultimate X-Men cast is dead, there is no Ultimate X-men anymore. Why even have that comic line? There is no one mainstream wise to connect with, and most of the characters have no theme or history to connect with.

Ultimate Marvel..... Im trying to stay loyal, but your making it stupidly hard to care. Most of my favorite characters are killed, and there is barely anyone left thats popular in mainstream for you to use these days :/ way to shoot yourselves in the foot.

Well there is that still alive scorpion-tailed clone....

@theacidskull: I actually liked that Ben Grimm was in his purple form and i preferred that his rock form was an cocoon as part of his evolution. This is one of the things is what i like about the ultimate universe and it's characters as it is different and unique.

@erik: happened when Joshua Hale Fialkov took over the ultimates and started turning it into Ultimate Fantastic Four... was it explained? Nope

it isn't really as impressive as the 100th issue with the same writer/art team. plus all the unnecessary re-number has made it less impressive.

Ive said before and I'll say again I wont read Ultimate Spider-Man until Peter Parker is back. I'm guessing that double page spread is a flash forward. Miles looks pretty old in that picture and it would explain a new Captain America and Thor being back.

That being said if that IS indeed Peter as Ultimate Scarlet Spider I'm all in! Im actually fine with him leaving the Spider-Man name to Miles and going as Iron Spider or Scarlet Spider even though I didnt think I would be. I liked Ultimate Peter as a character not just because he was Spider-Man. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Maybe the guy in the Iron Spider suit is Peter Parker brought back from the dead as a cyborg (probably not but still could be).

Indeed. Peter's death was the most shocking for me because typically, the Ultimate U keeps dead people dead. What little I read of Miles was pretty enjoyable too though. I only got up to where he killed his uncle. So barely scratched the surface of a great experience, I'm sure.

Respect. I love the heck out of Ultimate Spider-Man, both Peter and Miles. I just don't know how I'd feel about bringing him back. His death and the fallout were just so impactful.

Now, this is some stuff i will be looking forward. Can't wait.

I have read a few issues and it was amazing. I only stopped reading because of financial reasons. I overcame my woes but never picked up any issues after that. I would however, be picking up this issue even if I had no money and the only way I could pay was by giving the comic book guy a handy in the back. That's how much I loved Ultimate Peter Parker.

Yes it was Johnny who dyed the hair,but it's clearly not him......it seems like MJ's new boyfriend,and if it was Storm,he would enter the place too.....he was like a brother to Peter.
Plus i think the blonde dude inside is him.

If you haven't already, I'd recommend the newer series with Miles. I was initially against but I've grown to adore the character.

That last picture doesn't mean a thing. You have cap there and we know that captain america's death (he died in Cataclysm)

i think its just sort of what would pete be what his suit would be if he lived. not a new character as you can see with all the dead guys in the same image

Bendis also said Cataclysm had "Spider-Men 2"... and it had four seconds involving

Spock and Miles... I think we should know better than take everything he comments about at face value!

@punyparker: my hope is that it is indeed a clone of Peter Parker with all of his memories...he comes back realizes that everyone knows who Peter was and that he can't possibly protect his family with everyone knowing his identity so he changes his name to Ben Reilly, dyes his hair blonde, and starts going by Scarlet Spider

@punyparker: I thought Bendis made Miles because he adopted 2 black children. At least at the revealing of Miles his adoptions were also explained in the same paragraph to maybe try and have us as readers jump to that conclusion. I don't know... Either way, I haven't been up on my Ultimate Spiderman reading but I need to get caught up. I here Miles is an interesting character and I, for one, would like to get to know the kid.

The "lame" part was that Bucky isn't a badass.

Agreed on the Bucky part. It was good to see that Bucky was given a happy ending in the UU. Even though Winter Soldier is awesome...

As for the Bendis thing…I highly doubt it's Peter. If anything it's the scorpion clone...or perhaps a Peter clone created by Norman…

Personally I wish they didn't go so far in trying reform him trying to look at the character through the same glass as 616. He just doesn't fit the role.

In case anyone is confused of who are the people in the house they are the following: Miles(duh), Ganke, Aunt May, Gwen, MJ, Johnny Storm, Jessica Drew, Bombshell, Bobby Drake and I think the other blonde one is Liz Allen. Kitty appears in the next page that was in the colorless preview.
