Embrace the future.

No Caption Provided

This April, witness the birth of a new team of super geniuses the likes of which the Ultimate Universe has never seen in ULTIMATE FF #1 – a mind-bending new series from blockbuster writer Joshua Hale Fialkov and artist Mario Guevara!

Though they survived the cataclysm, the Earth lay in ruins. And though Galactus and his Gah Lak Tus swarm was defeated – the Ultimate Universe is breaking apart, and fast. The world’s greatest minds – Sue Storm, Tony Stark, Sam Wilson and Machine Man must band together to solve problems too big to tackle alone.

As the new and improved Future Foundation, they are all that stands between us and cosmic level threats that would see the entire universe extinguished.

But world ending threats are not their only problem! And old foe has returned…and he’s joining their team?!Doctor Doom has resurfaced, and he is their only hope to stop the oncoming destruction! But what is Doom’s true agenda? And will the FF uncover it before it’s too late?

Don’t miss the blockbuster first outing of a new team for a new era. The stakes have never been higher this April in ULTIMATE FF #1!

@micah: Any new series I pick up get one full story line to win me over. I get this universe is all about shaking up the norm but I found many times it did not make for better stories it ended up being a weird poorly thought out what if. The UU has fell from my grace a long time ago and this is it's only chance it's getting to win me back if FF does not win me over then so be it, Robinson is doing a pretty good job writing the real Fantastic Four.

@br_havoc: He is doing a great job with the 616 FF. Hopefully his magic can carry over to the 1610 version

@micah: No idea I like what Robinson has been doing its a fresh take on the tear down a team to build them back stronger. Recently I was talking to Leonard Kirk at a con I was working at and the things he said where coming up made me pretty excited. Also he drew a pretty freaking amazing mock FF cover for me :D.

I think that might be a big part of why I have always hated the UU Fantastic Four. It's simply because I love the 616 version. I love Reed and Sue as husband and wife team and the family dynamic with the kids and such. When in the UU I found the younger Fantastic Four unlikable then when they divorced Sue and Reed and made him a super villain I just totally hated the UU F4. I want to like Sue in the UU but for some reason I don't she has none of the charm or heart of the 616 version.

@br_havoc: Her personality is relatively the same as the 616 version. Also you have to take into account the fact that she is technically a teenager and the Universe she inhabits is bleak. I admire the dynamic between the Ultimate FF because it breaks down the team to their bear essentials. Returning Reed to the Scientist, Ben as the muscle, Johnny as the hot head, and Sue as the hot chick

@micah: Ah see this is where we are different. I love the Fantastic Four because they are different they are a family first a Superhero team second. They are more then just cliches and are Marvel's elemental figures, Oh and I hate that teenage angle it simply does not work for a team like the Fantastic Four as a whole or as single members. Another reason I dislike the UU it is bleak there is little hope in it. Huh maybe I will trade wait to try the UU again I remember that universe was rather cynical which is one of the biggest problems with comics today.

@br_havoc: It had a reason to be like that initially, its gotten much more happier and more adventurous. Which is what I see in the Ultimate Future Foundations art and characters. There is still death but its now natural and heroic.

Not sure why my comment is bolded but the site went down on my end so that's probably why :)

I gave up on the Ultimate universe when Peter Parker died. Tried reading Morales Spider-Man, didn't like it.

@jonny_anonymous: so instead of choosing a different colour scheme they choose one that reminds everyone in the world of the thing that nearly destroyed them?? Yeah that's great.
