First Look: TRINITY OF SIN: PANDORA #2

Trinity War is underway and Pandora finds herself up against the Secret Society of Super Villains.

As we wait for Trinity War to finally explode across the DC Universe, we also are preparing for the debut of Pandora's ongoing series. We know she's managed to regain possession of her secret box but she might not be prepared for the upcoming battle.

DC has released a preview for the second issue of Pandora's series. It's not looking too good for her.

Take a further sneak peek inside this issue by checking out some of Daniel Sampere’s stunning interior pages. In the gallery above, take a look at Pride and Envy (two of the Seven Deadly Sins) scheming, Pandora and her weaponsmith buddy gearing up for battle with the Secret Society, and the beginning of that battle – where she’s going to be facing Vandal Savage, Giganta, and Signalman. But what’s the connection between Pandora and the Secret Society? And why are they so desperate to get their hands on the box?

Who's the dude with the sun on his chest?

Posted by bobbyaddams

@fhiz I think DC are trying to order it where every issue of Trinity War will be released weekly:

1) It looks like this next week all three Justice League issues will be released

2) Pandora is penciled in for the first week of July

3) Then Justice League #22 for the second week of July

4) Then Justice League of America #6 for the third week of July

5) And Justice League Dark #22 for the fourth week of July

That's Signalman. It even says that is him in the solicit.

The guy with the sun emblem is Signal Man

I will be picking this up, but the news about the new supes/wondy and earth 2's new writer kind of stole some of the thunder from pandora.

The art looks good, definitely picking it up

@bobbyaddams: I don't believe that Next Week's Justice League books are the start of trinity war, that's in July.

Hopefully Batman has a star role in this event,he didn't get enough stage time in Blackest night or Brightest Day.

Cool

I thought Pandora was some sort of cosmic level being, clearly not as it's looks like she robbed Deathstroke's house in that scan

have to admit, as a character im not really interested in pandora. we don't know alot about her however so perhaps that's an unfair assessment, that art however is amazeballs.

bloody hell, it looks like manga in the last page

Edited by dondasch

The artwork is absolutely phenomenal.

I'mwondering what savage's role will be, I really like the character since the reboot.

Pandora and Zealot are sisters...or maybe they are the same person!

Pandora's previously shown dual pistols were pretty sweet. Hopefully her arsenal here proves less than generic.

Honestly I'm really psyched for her and I don't really know why, other than it'd be nice to see some version of Pandora (the mythological character) get vengeance or at least some parity for her unfair punishment.

That looks like Signalman,Vandal Savage, and some unknown girl (looks amazonian or something).

Then it appears to be (unknown girl, maybe Plastique) and one of the 7 deadly sins (greed?)

Posted by cameron83

Nevermind, the amazonian looking one is actually Giganta.

sometimes i wish more comics came out jus as sketch style art. that book looks good without color

Edited by wtk1013

Nice art....but Giganta looks like a man and who's the girl in the last picture?

Wow! that art! + Vandal Savage! getting this for sure!

I'm so excited for this book!

Yea, Batman never gets enough face time what with 5(?) starring books (I counted Batman/Superman), 5 or so other "bat family" books, a major role in Justice League and he tends to make appearances in other books a lot. Oh, and B.N and B.D happened like 4 years and a reboot ago.

I was bummed when it was found the first issue of this was pushed back to the first week of July myself. Truly can't wait for the Pandora goodness!

art looks great. This title seems Interesting. She looks kinda like Rachael from X Men though.

So, I recognize most of the villains, but who's the big eyed fellow? I don't think he's the Grey Ghost.

Ugh, Batman is SUCH a spotlight hog.

I hate that cover. It looks just like the teaser poster for STAR WARS: EPISODE III - REVENGE OF THE SITH.

Posted by aquahawk

@jangocrossfire: I don't really see how that's bad just because Revenge of the Sith wasn't good. I've seen that pose in several places Eh, I guess I just like the cover.

I could swear I recognize those two characters on the last page from MARVEL comics. I can't place the guy but that girl looks an awful lot like the chick who worked for the remnants of H.A.M.M.E.R. after Siege. What was her name, Superia or something? You sure you didn't scan one page from the wrong comic. Even the lines are bolder.

Posted by Doomlurker

@cameron83: It's Pride next to Envy. So two of the Sins.

Gonna go out on a limb and guess that this is the last we'll be seeing of Signalman in the New 52. Usually, "Nobody is safe in this story!" really means "We're gonna kill off the most expendable/obscure character(s) featured".
