First Look: THUNDERBOLTS #1 (Uncolored)

I was turned off by this initially, but I dunno. Maybe I'll check out the first issue.

Nah. I'll skip it. I like Dillon's art, but I've not had a lot of success finding a Daniel Way book I like to read.

The cover makes me want to read this so bad. But after seeing Dillon;s art in Avenging Spider-man, I just dont think I can pay for this.

Well, Dillon's art just made me not want to pick this up.

I will read because of My hulk and My Elektra

I have always been a huge Thunderbolts fan (my favorite comic team). and even though deadpool is apart of the new team, the fact that Red Hulk is in charge I'm stoked.

Well Dillon just ruined it for me, that is very upsetting, his art is brutal.

Took the words out of my mouth. Love the idea of this team, but I cant stand Dillon's art. Every person looks exactly the same with the exact same stupid expression. His art is why I gave up on Punisher Max a few years back. Sigh...I'll have to see how good the colorist can make this look before I decide.

I'm on the fence with Dillon's art. I love how he draws characters in costume, especially spiderman, but the way he draws faces can be a little distracting. I dunno, that's just me

If this was ANYBODY but Dillion on art duties I would be picking this up...I'm very into this team and how they look...further down the run when he leaves the book I'll pick this up.

Looks like I'm going to have to suffer through this art cause the book itself has me sold. I don't want to hate on Dillon too much, I'll just say his "art style" probably isn't the best for this book. I just hope Red Hulk comes out looking a little better than Banner did in the newest Incredible Hulk series.

actually that is the exact same thing I was thinking.... Never cared for his work... All the faces are practically the same and the women are ugly... Elektra looks like a dude.... :P quite a shame ...'cause the team looks interesting....

I agree. I want to like it I will for sure pick up the first couple. AFter that not sure hopefully with inks it will look great.

Are the red they're wearing on the cover just for the cover? Because I'm wondering how Venom made the white symbol red if that's his outfits on the team.

Yeah, just like many that posted before me. Dillon's art is just not for me, it would distract me too much from the story.

Why did he have to be on art? This looks like it has the potential to be a great book (AND ELEKTRA!), but there's no way that I can (or will) stomach the art T__T

So after getting peter and aunt castle in avenging spider-man we will now have a "everybody is the punisher" title ?

Agree with everyone else about the art. And Daniel Way writes a bad Deadpool and there is a Hulk on the Team.

This book is going to be the equivalent of what "The Expendables" is to Marvel comics.

It's an awesome Lineup but it'; really going to be just all action, no depth, and also looks to be just average art.

It's almost just a mess. Like these characters were just thrown together! Non of the characters on the team look to have interesting dynamic or relationships..maybe Venom and Rulk, but nothing major. and Deapool is only comic relief. Punisher will barley talk and be on his own. and Elektra the same. I believe her and Frank castle will have something going on...yaa this book looks pointless...its just one of those "YAAA MAAN, GUNS! BOOM !EXPLOSIONS! BAD@** CHARACTERS! $@$@$()*)&*(&&^" kinda books.

I stopped reading comics like that in the 90's.

I can already see this book being nothing more than a 7/10 series...I think im going to pick up the first issue but i doubt continuing. Hickman's New avengers over this.

Cant wait for this becuae of the characters in it, but the art is not so good. and the writing might be no good either.

The characters in this team couldn't be chosen any better. But the art is what is getting me a bit iffy about picking it up.

I like the current crew (prior to it being Dark Avengers) I don't know what Luke Cage was on the team but he's alright there.

I am absolutely picking up this book but I am equally as adamant about Dillon's art. I can only hope the writing can distract me enough from those constant jowl-pulled faces that make not only women unidentifiable, but the men constantly in a state of disappointed anger.

There is no doubt I am interested in the book because of Elektra but if the intent is to pair her up with Castle, get Bullseye back in some way and put her out of that misery.

Dillon's style is particular and really works for very particular books and storytelling. It's not for everyone and it's not for every title ... grittier storytelling usually benefits most from his style which is probably why Marvel placed him on this title.

His art is not a deal breaker for me pending ... though for this title it does seem like a more 'Manga' feel would have been more fun.

Thank God Wade uses a mask.

I'll buy it just to see.

I have a tremendous dilemma: I love the book, I love the new roster (especially Venom, Deadpool and Elektra), but I deeply hate Dillon´s art. I don’t know what to do!

I don't really have too much of a problem with Dillons art MINUS two things 1) I can't get around how he always draws blood looking like bodily fluid from a hentai and 2) he always draws the SAME FACE for every character

I love the team, but the art really is disappointing
