First Look: ORIGINAL SIN #6--Who Pulled the Trigger?

The answer will be revealed in this issue.

This July, the lingering question will be answered in ORIGINAL SIN #6 – who shot the Watcher? From the very beginning, fans have waited, wondered and speculated who was responsible for Uatu’s untimely death. Now, Jason Aaron and Mike Deodato peel back the curtain on the person pulling the strings as Original Sin races toward it’s heart-stopping conclusion.

Though the Watcher’s killer stands revealed, the knowledge Uatu kept cannot be put back in its bottle. The heroes’ most closely guarded secrets are now weapons in the hands of a terrifying enemy.

“It’s time for the shooter to come clean and to stand revealed—though this revelation will only lead to greater conflict for Marvel’s heroes,” says Marvel SVP Executive Editor Tom Brevoort. “It’s difficult to imagine a more dangerous opponent than the person who stands before them now.”

How can the heroes of the Marvel Universe cope with a threat that knows their each and every weakness? And who has been manipulating the actions of hero and villain alike? Prepare yourselves as Original Sin kicks into high gear and builds to a game-changing finale that will have everyone talking! No fan can afford to miss the twists and turns of ORIGINAL SIN #6 when it explodes into comic shops this July!

Original Sin has been suprisingy awesome. I didn't expect much, but I did garner some high hopes when I found out this was gonna be a murder mystery type story. I'm definitely staying on board for the rest of this ride :D

Same person who shot hulk?

Worth it just for the art alone.

I accuse Doom!

I want to know why Hulk is crying in that variant cover. What's his sin?

Posted by mksystem74

It was Stan Lee.

@jonny_anonymous:

I agree. Both are likely suspects. but I kinda got a feeling somehow we're gonna get thrown a curve and have a total "WTH"? moment when the killer stands revealed.

I know, I was blown away with each issue. Aaron is bringing a nice combination of excellent and consistent! If it keeps this up, it might be my favorite Marvel event!

Must have been J.Jonah Jameson

Well, it would have to be a large-scale villain, probably cosmic-level, and someone who uses firearms. Red Skull?

I always try to picture Bale saying "some days you just can't get rid of a bomb" in his Batman voice.

It's either old man Fury or Doc Strange

I actually said this a long time ago when the 1st issue came out, Fury did it. He's the ultimate spy, so why wouldn't he want all the known knowledge that has been seen. Plus missing and eyes and he is also missing an eye... Strange you could make a case, considering all that's happened during New Avengers.

Any doubts this is a copy of Indentity Crisis? We already had an unsolved murder (Sue Dibny's death), a father dying (Jack Drake's father) and possibly more, the same way Forever Evil is some kind of Secret Invasion (with Norman Osborn becoming the director of SHIELD and a hero for most people). It looks like DC and Marvel let them copy each other, Batman and Captain America coincidences included.

You forgot to mention Crisis on Infinite Earths theme in New Avengers, with incursions instead of antimatter) And i heard that cosmic part of Infinity have something common with Our Worlds at War.

Just picked up issues #3 and #4. The story started off great and gets better yet. Can't wait to see how this all plays out.

They are building the hype of a villian they can hardly exist. I mean even the cosmic - all powerful entities barely fits the supposed hype.

Whoever they reveal probably gonna be ''Meh, thats it ? '' for me :D

It was Stan Lee.

Yes, he'll be the one to end this all

im going to say Marvelman jr or thr beyonder. then marvel reboots with characters tweaked by the new creator.

Colonel Mustard in the library with the knife

I say it's the returning Dr. Frederic Wertham, eliminating the Watcher for his voyeurism. And trying to learn every comic character's "secret sins" in the meantime. After all isn't he the greatest villain in comics history?

Who is the guy that looks like the Thing again?

Edited by silverrex3

It really doesnt matter who killed the watcher, this whole series was really about revealing Nick Fury is really an old man so Sam Jackson Nick Fury can truly replace him in Marvel Cannon. All young Nick Furies are revealed to be LMDs and the real Nick all along has grown to be the new watcher, this old man.

One of my favorites parts about this event is how it's focused on lesser known heroes rather than the main heroes like The Avengers. Sure, they play a role in the story, but the main focus has been on these random groups of heroes from various corners of the MU. Seeing them finally come together and form this rag-tag group to solve this mystery was awesome and I can't wait to see where they go from here.

LMD's *sigh*

This, I agree with 100%. I'm always for lesser known heroes getting the spotlight, and the random team-ups are unique. Bucky, Moon Knight & Gamora? Pure genius. And Punisher & Dr. Strange- I mean, where else is that gonna happen? And the series has really made me like Scott Lang as Ant-Man more than I had previously. They thought outside the box on this one, going beyond conventional Spider-Man & Wolverine team ups and involving all these lesser known but still awesome characters and letting them step up to the plate in the major MU & show how awesome they are. It makes this event stand out and different from the same old same old, glad to see the creativity with the team-ups. Been a great ride from that alone and I'm there to the end of the line. If they're gonna do events, they need more like this one.
